The beginning of the key scene is important because, Hamlet has been summoned by his mother, who is furious with him for events surrounding the play-within-the-play, in which it has been suggested clearly that Hamlet’s father has been murdered by his brother. Hamlet, however, confronts his mother, still unhappy that she is married to his uncle, Claudius. Polonius has been sent to spy on Hamlet on behalf of Claudius. Hamlet kills Polonius, apparently believing it to be Claudius. Old Hamlet’s ghost appears for the second time to remind Hamlet of his mission of revenge for his father’s murder.
Seek it out!” (Act 5 sc 2 lines 342) Hamlet has lost his state of mind through out the play. Hamlet isn’t the type of person to take action as to kill a man, but the madness and unclear head as driven him to kill his many. He is insane and it is represented through the marriage of his mother, the death of Polonius and the death of his mother. Those are three reasons as to why Hamlet is
Rome goes to the Friar and asks him to marry him and his beloved Juliet. The friar agrees because he thinks it will end the two family’s feud. Mercutio (a Montague) and Tybalt (a Capulet) get in a sword fight Romeo tries to interfere to stop it but then Tybalt slays Mercutio under Romeos arm. Romeo wants revenge to he kills Tybalt, The Prince here’s word of this and banishes Romeo. Juliet is very sad over this so she goes to Friar Lawrence for advice he gives her a sleeping potion that will make her dead for 42 hours.
The ghost tells Hamlet that he was killed by Hamlets uncle: “Ay, that incestous, that aldulterate beast, with witchcraft of his wit, with traitorous gifts.” (I.V.43-80). This causes Hamlet to investigate Claudius, trying to find guilt in his face, as well as leading to his hatred towards Claudius. Another betrayal is one that most people would never expects. Hamlets two best friends who he has known since childhood betray him. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern become spies for Claudius telling him about Hamlet while pretending to be his friends after being offered payment: “ If it please you to show us so much gentry and good will, as to expend your time with us a while for the supply and profit of our hope.”(II.II.19-25).
He even contemplates suicide but his rational mind stops him from doing so. Hamlet is painfully aware that committing suicide will damn his soul to hell. Shortly after, Hamlet meets with the ghost of his father. The ghost of King Hamlet tells Hamlet that Claudius, the brother of King Hamlet, killed him. The ghost asks Hamlet to avenge his “most foul murder.” However, he warns Hamlet not to let revenge consume his mind.
“So excellent a king.” (Act 1, Scene 11, Line 149) this proves how much he wanted to be like him. Hamlet’s mother marriage with King Claudius, makes Hamlet upset because King Claudius was his father’s brother. “ Upon my secure hour thy uncle stole With juice of cursed hebona in a vial.” ( Act 1, Scene 5, Lines 61-62) Hamlet finds out that Claudius killed his father to take the throne when he talked with his father’s ghost. This gave reason to Hamlet to avenge his father’s death. Hamlet makes his first move against King Claudius by telling the actors to play a tragic play by which he can see King Claudius’s reaction.
Hamlet shocked by the murder he had accidentally committed scared him, knowing he is Ophelia’s father. When Rosencrantz and Guildenstern talked to Hamlet to see where Polonius’ body had been placed he refused to tell them. King Claudius sent Hamlet away for his safety but planned for his murder after Hamlet had left. After Hamlet had killed Polonius, Ophelia never recovered from her father’s death. She had now gone mad.
They are married in secret as their families are locked in an ancient feud and would not approve of their relationship. In the opening of Act 3 Scene 1, Tybalt is looking for Romeo because he recognized him as gate-crashing at the Capulet banquet. Unable to locate Romeo, Tybalt starts a fight with Mercutio until Romeo enters and tries to separate them, Due to Romeo’s interference, Mercutio is stabbed and dies. Angered by the death of his best frien,d Romeo goes after Tybalt and kills him. Ultimately the results of this scene are the deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt, and the banishment of Romeo.
She ran to Friar Lawrence for help and the friar gave her distilling liquor so that she can fake her death. Friar Lawrence had someone send a letter to Romeo that never got delivered, explaining the situation with Juliet. Romeo not knowing about Juliet’s fake death led him to drink poison that he got from Apothecary. When Juliet woke-up, she found Romeo dead on the ground and she was devastated. Friar Lawrence was telling her that they should leave before the guards came and she resisted and he left her.
“And for that offense / immediately we do exile him hence. / I have an interest in your hates proceeding” (3.2.202-204). This also causes problems later on in the play. If Romeo had not stabbed Tybalt he would not have been banished, causing Juliet to be depressed, and want to kill herself. Near the end of the play Romeo decides to kill himself, because he found of that Juliet is “dead.” He goes to the Apothecary to purchase a poison he will drink.
