They had horses, which were extinct in America until the Spanish settlers surfaced. These men arrived on massive ships, that held cannons, guns, jewels, gun powder, swords and other things that many of the Native Americans had no idea existed. When many of the Native Americans met the Europeans they did indeed see them or some of the items they possessed as mystical. If we use the history of Native Americans as a reference of what their lives were like prior to European encounters, we can certainly say that they would have indeed viewed the people they met and the items they possessed at the very least as strange or unfamiliar. This is a fair assessment and one that is supported by documented encounters.
