Gardasil is effective against HPV types 16 and 18 which cause approximately 70% of cervical cancers, and against HPV types 6 and 11 which cause approximately 90% of genital warts. Gardasil is approved for use in females and males. Four multinational studies were conducted to show how well Gardasil worked in women between the ages of 16 and 26 by giving them either the vaccine or placebo. The results showed that in women who had not already been infected with the type of HPV contained in the vaccine, Gardasil was nearly 100 percent effective in preventing precancerous cervical lesions, precancerous vaginal and vulvar lesions and genital warts caused by infection with the HPV types against which the vaccine is directed. It is believed that prevention of cervical precancerous lesions is highly likely to result in the prevention of those

It all depends on how sensitive the mean is, for example when it is very sensitive in the extreme values and the distribution is not symmetrical, and the mean will be away from the center and more near the extreme values. In statistics normality is important so the underlying population is normally distributed. (Doane & Seward, 2007) * What effect does sample size, n, have on the estimate of the mean? Is it possible to normalize the data when the population shape has a known skew? How would you demonstrate the central limit theorem to your classmates?
Jamie Robinson Ms. G Pink is the New Black Can - cer (n): the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells (malignant cells) in the body. The second most common type of cancer is breast cancer, which is when malignant cells grow in the breast. A scary fact about breast cancer is the tumors that may grow in the breast usually tend to grow slowly; by the time you actually feel a lump is large, the tumor may have been growing for as long as ten years. Ultimately, they can use college to filter out the players that are not likely to succeed without the financial penalty. Universities may benefit the most from this rule change. Requiring players to remain at the university level until the age 20, should translate into billions of dollars for colleges. My step-mom had ductal carcinoma. Ductal carcinoma is when cancer forms in the breast tissue and begins in the lining of the milk ducts, thin tubes that carry milk from the lobules of the breast to the nipple. Her cancer was also invasive which means the cancer spread from where it started in the breast ducts or lobules in to the normal tissue.

Although most people recover fully from the flu, some develop serious complications, including life threatening conditions such as pneumonia. About 20,000 people in the United States die from flu complications each year and thousands more need to be hospitalized prior to recovery.
