Striving To See Your Own Success Success is the strive for consistent greatness it is what we all are thirsty for. It also means to achieve any goals or dreams that you have in life. To be successful in anything requires a lot of hard work and dedication. To many, success seems to come suddenly. When you observe others and what they have achieved you usually don’t appreciate what it has taken for them to get where they are.
My belief is to have a aim in life, and work towards it, whether it be a aim in life to work towards, whether it be higher qualifications to better my job prospects or working towards bettering my career path, each is a great belief for me to acheive as this will be beneficial to my children and improve my way of life. While my Values and Beliefs are important to me I appreciate that not everyone values the same qualities. While it has not been an issue in my current position I could say that I may have less empathy or patience for people who are more work shy or don't work to my standard. It is important that i dont allow my beliefs and values to place a strain on my relationships with both colleauges and service users. Working in the Health sector, you are most likely to come accross people with views you dont agree with and some people wont understand your point of view.
Good leadership Being a manager means you must have self-discipline and leadership skills. If you can't lead then you shouldn't be in charge. Good leadership means being communicative, diplomatic but at the same time courageous to say what you think. Being a leader means you won't be inconsistent just to be Mr. or Mrs. Popular. You will gain more respect by sticking to your instincts, doing what you believe is right but not being so rigid that you can't revise your opinions.
Alternatively their culture may require certain behaviours which we find strange. Also many individuals we support have a different set of values from our own, this doesn’t mean to say that you are right and they are wrong. We need to understand and value everyone regardless of differences. There is nothing wrong with having your own beliefs and values – everyone has them they are a vital part of making us the person we are. But we must be aware of them and hoe they may affect what you do at work.
Belonging is an intrinsic human desire that motivates individuals to actively pursue it. Unfortunately barriers exist that make the attainment of belonging seemingly impossible to certain individuals. The challenge is to accept these obstacles, forge through them and strengthen your sense of belonging beyond its original state. Belonging is an innate part of the human psyche and we are all impacted either positively or negatively reflective of whether or not we belong. The relationships we share with those around us can either hinder or support this emotional state.
These factors that many think that could be adversarial are race, gender, sexual orientation, and pedigree. Those people believe that all those components will be a problem to some who think that just working hard is enough to become successful. Although many people such as Horatio Alger, the author of “Ragged Dick”, have different opinions on how an individual can accomplish something in life, everyone achieves success differently. For most citizens of America, they believe that they must work hard to achieve what they want in life. Some do not think that any other factors such as race or social economic status can affect the outcome of an individual’s life.
The problem now, is that people feel too much of themselves. Everyone wants to be independent and an individual but they have to see that one day they’re going to need assistance from someone else. We would rather criticize and attack instead of rationally discussing our differences of opinion. We see this every day in our culture. Our community as a whole loves to be argumentative.
No matter what mistakes or bad choices you have made, you can dust yourself off and try again. The most motivational piece to me “I know I can, be what I wanna be, if I work hard at I be where I wanna be.” this motivates me because it teaches me that in order to get where I want to get I have to work hard for it. You have to work hard and struggle to be the best and have the best. Many people put their obstacles and past experiences in the way of being successful and use that as an excuse. When you are striving to be the best you have to keep in mind that “its not going to be easy but at the end its worth it.” This song has taught me to keep my head up no matter what my obstacles and tribulations are and to keep
It requires effort and will to want to succeed. Success has to involve the individual wanting to learn from their mistakes and wanting to improve on themselves as a person and as a professional. Success includes what you want to do with your life. It does not have to be glamorous as long as you are happy with what you have accomplished and what you have done to offer the world. The definition of success in America is wanting to be the best you can be and striving to do better than that.
Codes of practice. National occupational Standards. 1.3 Everybody is entitled to their own opinions and these come about because of their own personal experiences, it is always important to listen to other peoples opinions and be receptive to their opinions as ultimately we are all aiming for the same high standard’s but may just vary the way we work to achieve the same outcome. By being receptive and listening I am gaining more knowledge in this role not your belief’s as your belief’s are personnel to each and everyone, and this would threaten the service user’s right to fair treatment. 2.1 Being able to reflect on our actions and our own experiences allows us to learn from them and adapt our behaviour and give us a better understanding of ourselves, our knowledge and workplace practices , ultimately improving the quality service.
