Religious and Ethnic Groups

There are many religions out in the world today, and each religion has their own beliefs, worship practices, or values that they follow.   With the different religions out in the world today, we should educate ourselves about them before making any assumptions about them.   Mormons, is a religious group that believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and the son of God (http://mormon.org/).
Mormons have beliefs, values and worship practices that differs from other religions, but even though they are different, it is a good idea for a person to educate themselves about any religion before discussing any topics, in order to have a better understand, and not treat a particular religion differently because without a full understanding of their values, and what they believe in, a person could look at them differently in a negative way.   For example, when it comes to health, members of the Mormon religion are known for their healthy lifestyles because they have a health code that is referred to as health guidelines known as “the Word of Wisdom”, and among these provisions, it states that they should not have alcoholic drinks, no smoking or chewing of tobacco, and no “hot drinks” (http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/article/health-practices).
Another belief of Mormons that is different is that they believe in the sanctity of human life and the Church opposes elective abortion for personal or social convenience, and counsels its members not to submit, perform, encourage, pay for, or arrange for such abortions (http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/official-statement/abortion).   The only time the church allows for possible exceptions for its members is when pregnancy results from rape or incest, or a competent physician determines that the life or health of the mother is in serious jeopardy, or a competent physician determines that the fetus has severe defect...
