Reflective Nursing Journal Boyi Bokar Sr Winston-Salem State University Reflective Nursing Journal Reflective journals are important as they attempt to provide account of events over a time frame. However, it becomes a memory challenged when specific information required cannot be retrieved to produce an orderly context. But, this journal entry required some specific information as they relate to the group project. The research critique project was reviewed and completed by four dedicated students. Each student worked individually on a specific section. A onetime group meeting was held at which time the individual sections discussed; edited and final draft produced. The project provided and opportunity of acquaintance in terms of sharing phone numbers and email addresses to enhance communication which was vital to the timely completion of the paper. The members of the group exhibited total commitment in the development and final completion phase. It was exciting also, to have developed such good working relationship in such a short period. In the meantime, there were two challenges during the length of the project: Inability to meet regularly except during class session and individual work scheduled. However, the use of phone calls and email communications as were as the one time face-face meeting to complete the final draft, were steps taken to address those challenges In parallel to the challenges was the positive aspect of the group project. The research critique has taught me the value of identifying the right research design to match research question. I also learned the importance of using a randomly selected sample size to make it easy to generalize findings to other populations.
