but these nervous troubles are dreadfully depressing” (Gilman 2). The author is using a semi-autobiographical technique to show that the narrator was being left in the house for the whole day and she was not supposed to do anything. However when John was out for work for the whole day, she could write how much ever she wants because no one was there to stop her. When the narrator explains that she writes when her husband is not at home that shows gender role because she is hiding it from her husband. She is hiding it from her husband because he didn’t let her write anything or do anything, because in Victorian times, women had less opportunity than men.
Shannon prefers to work with friends rather then do things individual as I think she doesn’t like to be on her own. She enjoys walking as long as she doesn’t have to walk on her own because she rarely gets the chance to be able to get a lift to school as her parents work. Shannon prefers to snack rather then to have a sit down meal at home with her family, as she goes straight out when she gets home from school and doesn’t really bother with food, for Shannon to be able to relax or stop stressing out she finds having a cigarette helps to calm her nerves. I find Shannon is a confident girl and is not embarrassed or shy about her self appearance and she also likes to be in control of things most of the time. When I set target 1 and guidance, I took the individual’s circumstances and preferences into account in the following ways as my first target was for her to be able to quit smoking I put this into consideration as she is damaging her lungs and eventually killing herself off, as smoking causes harm to the body and also causes very slow and
An example of Evyn being unintelligent was when her so-called friends, Andrea’s group, calls her Evelyn and doesn’t talk to her unless it’s to ask about updates with Ajax, she doesn’t realize that they’re just using her. Evyn was also, very inconsiderate and selfish. She didn’t seem to notice how happy her father, Birdie was after he had proposed to Eleni. Evyn doesn’t seem to care what his father felt and made it harder for him. “Bounce” was an interesting book that showed problems that actually happen to 13 year olds.
There is no natural human behavior, therefore there is no depiction to the hypocrisy of human behavior in the play. Although there is a decent amount of word play, the verbal jokes are not by any means sophisticated, they are rather simple. There is a great deal of physical humor since the entire play has a washing machine that has a head pop out of it, another trait of low comedy. The play could be characterized as a Romantic Comedy because of Mabel’s part in the story, the Repairman does eventually find true love with her after various amusing joke-filled break ups. But in the end I feel the best category to place this play under is a farce comedy, because of how fast the plot unfolds, how unpredictable and improbable the plot is, and the variety of different humor.
bounty-hunter (Robert Patrick), the contract killers and the cops. Diana is a very outgoing, obnoxious, clever, and sly character that has many tricks up her sleeve. She has many jokes in this movie that are very funny, though at times the jokes are a little inappropriate and not very funny. Sandy Patterson is a modern man who just wants to live a normal life as a business man. There are some jokes such as explaining "Sandy" is a unisex name that is used too much as if it will become funny at one point but never really breaks through.
She didn’t whine or moan or stamp her feet.” From this example, it seems that the society did not affect Liesel’s good nature, although as we have already learned, it had made her angry, even more of a reason for wanting to do right. When a sick Jew lay dying in her bed, she never gave up hope, and when he did finally wake he said “Look at all this. These gifts.” She brought him many gifts from her journeys. “Rosa said you read to me twice a day, sometimes three times.” Also, another example was when her and Rudy gave some bread to the Jews. She did not even mind if she was beaten.
The next one of these “it” factors is that the sitcoms do not emotionally involve the audience as though a drama would. Yet another factor is the normalcy of the script. The scripts make fun of the normal everyday happenings that go on in everyone’s lives. The humor comes from the characters' reactions to mundane things like changing barbers or waiting in line for a movie. The characters are people with whom audiences can relate, too.
Specifically, she likes talking to anybody, even a bunch of bindle stiffs. Curley's wife could have been in the movies, but instead married Curley, and now that she did, her life has been very lonely. Of Mice and Men took place during the Great Depression. The characters in the story didn't lose there jobs, but were paid very little and only once a month. They would generally spend it on cathouses, which was the one of the few ways to have a good time.
