One of the plans was to motivate staff to reach goals in a positive manner. One of the practical example that was given is to use contests and incentives to help keep workers motivated and feeling rewarded. I could immediately relate and understand the task at hand. With hands on, I am able to do, and perform the learned skill as it is being taught to me. I recently started a new position at my current work place and the software that this department uses is totally different from what I was accustom to using for the past thirteen years.

There are many groups to join which allow users to communicate with one another discussing all aspects of the diet. Facebook in particular allowed me to learn using social constructivism, as discussion between users is imperative through the learning process of social activity. Informal language is used making it easy to understand and information can be shared quickly. Using Metzger’s suggested factors that influence credibility, I found this source allowed a high level of interaction socially between users although once again information provided is mostly personal opinion and not credible.

Pathos is a rhetorical tool used to appeal to a reader’s feelings or desires. The importance of using pathos to appeal to the reader’s emotions is to make them feel at ease with the idea of a united world. Crystal’s pathos appeal is shown through unity to invite his audience to care about the argument. The author states that “It is now possible, using electronic mail, to copy a message to hundreds of locations all over the world virtually simultaneously…that is why people so often talk, these days, of the ‘Global Village.”’ (Crystal 358). This is the only part of the excerpt where Crystal tries to attach on to his audiences emotions.

They gave us ample time for quality research on the different company profile as well as sending either via fax machine or e-mail blasting for at least 15 or more company a day. While I was working on the first day, was at first little nervous on what will possibly the feedback and if my communication skills was enough to convey the messages since I am not so much familiar with telemarketing but I managed to handle it and I am really proud about because I learned a lot from it. This is something unusual and I am very much proud of while I was doing because this will give me an ample information on how to handle calls and other communication skills both oral and written form. I got to learn also on how to get along well with my officemate and co-trainee. It was really awesome that I can now deal with them properly because they let me express my thought as well as they do.
