Said perpetrator was, Joe Davis, already a convicted felon, had seen release from prison only three weaks earlier. Afterwards, Kimber’s father Mike Reynolds met with an informal group of judges, attorneys and law enforcement reps to discuss sentencing practices. This case set the precedent for California’s “Three Strikes and You’re Out” law. Said California law requires that when a criminal is convicted of three felonies, he or she must serve a mandatory fixed sentence of twenty-five years to life, usually without parole. There are three types of offenses that qualify as a strike: Juvenile Offenses, Serious Felonies and Violent Felonies.
A few months later he stabbed and strangled a woman. The young man with her survived being shot twice and provided the first clue to authorities, the assailant was an average man with crazed eyes. After the second crime, Rader wrote a letter confessing to the first murders and referring to himself as the BTK Strangler. He explained that BTK stood for B-bind them, T-torture them, K-kill them. Psychological Studies on Rader have established that even as a young child in grade school he would often fantasize about bondage, controlling and torturing individuals.
And in Florida jury had gave a 14 year-old boy who killed a girl while playing wresting moves on her, and now will be life in prison without parole. (Jessica, Reaves that some consider 16-and 17- year-old for the death penalty). My second source was on a website huff post crime at (WWW.huffingtonpost.com) were their is a case that is written (By Paul Elias 08/18/12) were a young girl at age 17 from San Francisco she was sentenced to die in prison without parole. For killing and robbing and in that same city there was a murdered in 1993 by two teen did a robbery of gun shop. The San Francisco of California Assembly’s passage a bill introduced by state Sen. Stanford v Kentucky was a United States Supreme court case that dealt with the imposition of the death penalty on offenders who were at least sixteen years old at the time the crime was committed. Stanford was 17 years old at the time he committed murder in Kentucky. On January 17, 1981, Stanford and an accomplice repeatedly raped and sodomized twenty year old Barpel Poore during and after their robbery at the gas station Poore worked at. Hearings were held to decide on whether Stanford’s case should be held in Juvenile court or adult. The juvenile court did make the decision to transfer his case, therefore; Stanford would be trialed as an adult under a state statute permitting such action as to offenders who are either charged with a class A felony, capital crime or anyone over the age of sixteen and charged with a felony.
In 1975 Ted was arrested in Utah but was released due to the little evidence, Two years later was convicted of kidnapping and escaped. Ted Bundy killed three people in Florida and was arrested but his parents bailed him out and he sold his car but police impounded it away from new owner. It was then when forensic evidence finally solved this case by finding three different hairs matching the three victims killed in Ted’s car and matched his teeth marks the a bite mark on one of the victims. He was then was sentenced to three death penalties in 1978 when Ted was recaptured and on January 24, 1989 at Railford prison in Starke, Florida Ted Bundy was executed in the electric chair. My opinion on this case was interesting yet disgusting but Ted Bundy was smart about how he attracted his victims.
Narrates that she was raped when she was very young, what we see as an example of crime funnel with the level of reported crimes, and she never reported this. Also her brother died while in jail, and that her parents were separated. It is evident that all these factors that affected her life, leads to conclude that they determine the fact that she was involved in a murder. This murder took place on September 14, 1989 where the victim was Leonard Skwarok. Yvonne’s sentence was the longest and most severe of all involved in the murder, 25 years while the others received 10 years.
However, a regular Australian man was trying to talk to his former girlfriend at a nightclub in Bali and was pushed to the ground and punched while four of the attacker’s friends watched on and kicked the victim. The attacker and his friends were taken to court and put in gaol. These incidents clearly show that there is a double standard when it comes to athlete’s behaviour and if it were fair Nick D’Arcy would have been gaoled. If society did not have double standards as to what behaviour is considered acceptable than all people should face the same penalties for women abuse. In 2009 Nathan Bock assaulted his girlfriend.
The story starts with a 10 years girl who named Tonya Hailey and she has been raped by two young white boys. Then, these two men took out her chance to bear baby. Therefore, the nightmare begins, Carly Lee Hailey who is Tonya’s father shoot these two young boys before the trial. Then, Carl Lee Hailey was arrested then he may face the death penalty. Therefore, Jake Brigantz saw this situation and decided to be Carl’s attorney.

His sentence is changed from manslaughter and he has now been sentenced to 18-20 years in prison for manslaughter, followed by four to five years in prison for illegal possession of a firearm. (Ryan, 2013) During a trial, the evidence is again presented to a court of law or a jury. Being sentenced to Capital Punishment is very unlikely to happen for Burke, as the state of Massachusetts has abolished Capital Punishment and only uses it in very severe cases where the suspect is tried federally (McCarthy, 2014) instead of regionally, like the Boston Bomber Case. Burke most likely got this sentence, because he pleaded guilty, possibly after enough evidence was gathered to prove his guilt and thereby “has taken responsibility for shooting the victim, resulting in his death, over what appears to have been a dispute about money” (Boston.com, 2013) Burke is most likely to receive this sentence, because it is exactly the crime he committed. He committed manslaughter which was proven by the messages on the phone and apparently other evidence that has been found.
