During the planning and specification stage of the Human Resource Lifecycle, HR practitioners must consider future recruitment needs. What are three reasons why additional staff might be required? -Growth of business -Filling vacancies caused by leaver’s e.g. maternity leave -Internal promotions 3. What might be the consequences of failing to anticipate recruitment needs? By failing to anticipate recruitment needs this could cause existing staff to experience a great deal of stress as they try to meet additional demand. This in turn can cause the company to experience an increase in backlog and to not meet their targets and deadlines which would then result in unhappy customers. 4. Why is it important to develop or review the job description, and to identify selection criteria before developing the interview questions? It is important for the following reasons: -Having a clear job description and selection criteria will help you write the copy to advertise the position -It gives potential applicants a sense of whether they should apply for the job - It enables you to clarify your thinking about the job and what kind of person you want for it. 5. Why is it important to integrate and induct people into an organisation? Induction gives your new employee an objective view of your company, organisational culture, and work ethic, which will allow the employee to better integrate into the workplace. 6.
