IT Project Implementation Failures Implementing a new IT project of any kind can be a time consuming task and require a great deal of preparation. It is not a task that can be rushed and if it is, chances are it will not be successful. In the case of the CPOE implementation at the Memorial Health System, the project was destined to fail because of the rushed requirements analysis. It only took six months to complete the acquisition process but a more appropriate and thorough process would have taken longer. From the time the project was introduced, organizational inertia was present in the way physicians responded to the changes that would be required to implement the new system.
Week 6 Team Video Analysis Report BUSN460-Senior Project Team C- Charles Group Consulting June 12, 2011 Issue 1 Performance Evaluation The performance evaluation did not provide a foundation for the growth, development, and promotion of the individual. The manager's communication is not open to their employee's performance standard and expectations. Poor performance was not resolved or addressed to take action to avoid performance problems before they occur. The sign of a successful performance evaluation is an employee who leaves feeling motivated for all the right reasons and for fulfilling their job satisfaction needs, which in CanGo this was not the case. Employees are also only receiving a performance evaluation once a year and
Ethical Issue: Before even beginning the project, Mr. Allison couldn’t keep his commitment in regards to meeting the temperature requirement. Mr. Allison was dishonest and to make matters worse he failed to voice his concerns. It was apparent that Gary was not truly on board with the project plans from the beginning and lack confidence to get the job done. Everyone on the team also did not communicate these issues with the client or stakeholders of the organization. Legal and Contractual Issues: SEC is guilty of legal and contractual issues in regards to the Orion Shield Project.
In groups of three or four, make a list of possible reasons that the actual ending inventory might not agree with the ending inventory according to a computer system. Jason Tierro, an inventory Jason Tierro, an inventory clerk at Lexmar Company, is responsible for taking a physical count of the goods on hand at the end of the year. He has been performing this duty for several years. This year, Jason was very busy due to a shortage of personnel at the company, so he decided to just estimate the amount of ending inventory instead of doing an accurate count. He reasoned that he could come very close to the true amount because of his past experience working with inventory.
One member proposes letting someone sit in on their meetings and offering fundraising advice without the ability to vote. That, however, is still a decision that would be made without all members of the organization. New board member Anna Fixx can see both sides of the argument. If they wait until fall to consult with the members, they would have to wait another year before hiring a fundraiser and could potentially miss out on money. On the other hand, the organization is run by democracy, and not allowing members to vote would be against their values.
Mr. Richards also testified that Mr. Kurtz “didn’t feel that the Association could, in fact, come up with that type of savings, but the negotiations still had to move forward.” Id. Mr. Richards, of course, was not competent to testify as to what Mr. Kurtz felt. In any event, as noted above, the record shows that the Association subsequently submitted a proposal projecting a savings to the District if its transportation services remained in-house. First, the patient financial services staff (PFS) did not have access to real-time information in regards to key financial and operational indicators such as A/R days and cash collections. Second, the hospital’s accounting system did not allow managers to isolate and analyze select data or generate reports on demand to the level of detail required. Third, in addition to PFS staff, the central business office (CBO) staff also suffered from a lack of real-time information. The CBO was only able to enter accounts when they were assigned with an outstanding balance.
After discussing this matter with my attorney and with Joann from the Department of Labor we feel that Sav-On-Drugs did not handle the processing of my health insurance in an acceptable amount of time. As I indicated to both you and Christy that I had many test and procedures that I needed to have done and could not get them done because when it is not an emergency they require you to pay for the procedure a head of time if you do not have insurance. I now that Christy said that the insurance goes back to May 1 but that did not help me because they would not do the procedure without me paying for the test first. The notice of healthcare change was not sent to me until the middle of May. I in turn filled it out and returned it to you

Only twice a week but no daily deliveries are possible Question 3 the disadvantages are that there might be damage during the transportation The advantages of stocking the Supergym at distribution centers and let them deliver it to the customer is that Kiddieland doesn’t have to stock the products in their shops, which reduces the logistics and reduces costs of holding a stock in their own store. However, the disadvantages are that the delivery truck from the distribution center is not that precise with the 3 different boxes that contain the Super Gym, which will not be satisfactory to the customers seen that they will have the wrong boxes delivered to them. The disadvantages are that customers might find the price of the set including delivery to high, which might cause Kiddieland to be unable to sell all their ordered sets and might turn the initiative into a loss.
