It makes parents believe that spanking children can harm their children. Spanking children is not a good way to discipline them because children can get some mental problems. For example, children who are usually spanked by their parents believe that they hate them, so children get depression because of spanking. Children can also get mental problems because of spanking such as killing themselves.
If they're depressed, they want to become happy. If they are stressed or nervous, they want to relax, and so on. By taking drugs, people often think they can be the person they want to be. The second reason is that they think it makes them seem grown-up and want to rebel. They use drugs even they know that their family or someone don’t like it because they want to against them.

Because of their vulnerability, the people who abuse, finds it easy to abuse them as they cannot defend themselves easily. There can be many reasons why this factor can lead to abuse. Like, a carer caring for the person who is disabled can get impatient and lash out at the person. Also, if a person (within the family or outside the family of a disabled child or young person) has inappropriate thoughts or sexual addiction, then it might lead to abuse.
Research shows that bullying is a very controversial subject that can be seen as a crime to some but not to others depending on the nature and severity of the bullying. It is a widespread problem that unfortunately most children have to go through at some point in their lives. As seen through an article that researched the use of marijuana, “Illicit drug use among teens remains high, largely due to the increasing popularity of marijuana. Among twelfth graders, 6.5 percent use marijuana on a daily basis (Drug Abuse). According to the article, the drug proliferated amongst teens due to its popularity and other students would be pressured into using marijuana. For the students that attempted to refuse to take the drug they would face feeling rejected from their peers or they would feel as if they would not be considered “cool”.
This period is when one can either make it out to become a great adult in the future or become a total mess all together. This is as a result of the kind of groups that people tend to associate themselves with. Peer pressure is very common among the youth and therefore parents and guardians are required to guide their kids so as not to fall in the wrong group. However, there are children who are not lucky to have stable homes and therefore they get involved in antisocial activities that eventually lead to criminal acts. Some of the children end up being arrested and being sentenced to juvenile prisons.

One of the significant reasons of teenage drug use is peer pressure, particularly from the social influences among friends, acquaintances, school, and the community. Depending on the person’s experiences and choices, circumstances and consequences may vary. If a teenager’s social main group is using drugs, then there may be a strong pressure due to the fact that drugs are present and can easily be offered. Also, the person might get convinced to think that there is nothing wrong with trying drugs because “everybody else is doing it.” In the effect that teenagers will try drugs just to fit in the social norms, they might do it to impress their buddies to be considered "cool" as part of being in the group and gain acceptance by friends.
