With this power in our political system nothing new ever gets a chance to be implemented into our lives. I mean I agree with Congress that such a big project would certainly be beneficial to the economy and open up a huge amount of job opportunities. The opposers believe that the issue will hurt the environment and this to them is too big of a risk to take. Well I’ve heard Obama state before we need to bring more jobs to our country at home, well wouldn’t this be a perfect chance at doing that? There are two branches of government here battling back and forth between the pros and cons of the proposed new project, but in my opinion the President is wrong and the pro’s certainly outweigh the
Since the Keystone XL project has been delayed, the NRDC has focused attention on the Northern Gateway Pipeline . The Northern Gateway Pipeline is a project proposed by Enbridge, a Canadian oil and gas company. The pipeline will run from Alberta to Kitimat, British Columbia . The NRDC is concerned about a number of risks posed by the pipeline, especially that of Diluted Bitumen . Diluted bitumen is created by processing heavy Canadian crude and adding many thinning chemicals to flow easily in the pipeline.
Thesis: The Miracle on Ice played a major role in boosting the morale of a torn nation and gave hope for the future of American culture. Introduction: - The years following completion of the Second World War in America were marred by economic and political problems that would erode the foundation of American culture for decades to come. With the debacle that ensued in Vietnam during the 1960’s and ‘70’s, Americans no longer had respect for or any faith in their government. To top it off the Communist expansion by Soviet Russia during these years was imminent and with this came the conspiracy of communism, as well as many other problems, within the United States government itself. America was in a recession and gave off the impression that it was no longer the superpower that was once feared and respected.
The Future in Recruitment The Government wants a white man army – but are there enough men? It’s no question that the Canadian army needs more men, and they don’t have time to be picky. The problem is, the Canadian army is insisting on a “white man army”. They are refusing any applicants that are not of a British - Canadian or French- Canadian background. The war is in full swing now, and Canadian soldiers are being shipped off as soon as you can say “accepted!” The trouble is that the army is quickly running out of young men to fight.

Since extraction is being done in foreign nations, why should the Canadian government intervene? It should be the job of the government of that nation to protect its people. If more intervention is to occur it would hurt Canada’s extraction industry, which is also one of Canada’s largest industries bringing in a lot of wealth and opportunity to our country. According to the neoclassical approach, much of this would have not been possible. With more government intervention, potential multi billion dollar extractions could be put on hold or completely lost due to villagers in that area who refuse to move.
Consequently to the 9/11 attacks, the United States Government made significant modifications to what is surely considered to be one of the Countries most significant and important documents that has stood almost in tacked for over 200 years. Accordingly, our generation has earned the distinction of experiencing one of this century’s most important controversy. Therefor the debate of weather or not the Bush administration and congresses actions were un-American will go on, for possibly ever. Though no reasonable person can dispute the need to give the authorities we task with keeping our precious children safe from extremists who want nothing more than to see us dead, the tools they need to do what is seemingly an impossible job. Therefore, our modern day Jefferson’s and Franklins are guaranteed to have notched their place in history for acting so quick as to pass such big and heavy bill faster than any legislation has ever been passed before.
Our government, the one we Americans put our trust in to protect our families and friends and to guide us to be the greatest nation we can be has been ripped from its foundation. It is no longer of the people, by the people, and for the people, it is closer to shove the people, deny the people, and war the people. War is an extremely lucrative and profitable venture for our government, and I have heard it argued successfully that it is the most profitable of all the government’s endeavors. President Eisenhower even said in his farewell address to the nation that “In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.” We put our faith and trust into our leaders to do the right thing, to act fairly and sensibly in its relations with other nations, and we expect them to treat those citizens and ours alike with the same fairness and sensibility.
Time and time again, trough out the past several decades, North American Government has intervened in a attempt to improve the social and economic life of their people. Yet even with all their ‘esforso’, social and economic problem still ‘se espalhando’ in a massive scale. As a resolve, Canada and United States understand only one thing. Government Intervention can be ineffective and misplaced in many ways. These can be describe as government failure, in many different causes.
