The first reason is because a lot of people want a job that will pay very good money. By going to college, you will have the hands-on learning education you need to start your chosen career. This is a huge reason why a lot of careers require you to have at least a two or four year degree. Another reason why college matters is because it helps students boost their confidence level out in the real world. There are countless things that people have to do every single day in life so going college will help give you a better idea of what the definition of life really is.
The professors at four-year colleges consider themselves as high as they can get in their career. Although this may be true, it typically causes them to have narcissistic views that can be very hard for students to deal with. Some become so set in their ways that they seal themselves off to new ideas, and forget that they are there to help the students. In addition, they know the majority of people there are already wealthy enough to be there and this might cause them to believe the majority of students are spoiled. This could also change a professor’s attitude towards how they treat students.

Some academic affiliations include a reduced tuition cost for employees of a company at a certain college. By earning a degree at a selected academic provider the employee receive a discount on tuition, therefore making their tuition money last longer.
