Reasons for Going to University

My Reasons for pursuing a college degree by Ebrima Cham International Bachelor Program Student (IBPA) Student National Chung Hsing University. October 9, 2012. For most high school graduates aiming at a transition to college in the near or distant future, they might have weighted in mind with thoroughness and care to the question: What is the difference between a college and a university? Indeed, while the names are used interchangeably, they often point to different things. A college only offers undergraduate programs and they may be smaller than universities, but a university constitutes a graduate school and professional schools that award Master’s degree and Doctorate degree as an addition to undergraduate division that awards Bachelor’s degrees. Despite this distinguishing factor, both are considered as institution for higher learning with teaching and research facilities. Reasons to go to college or university may differ depending on individuals. However, my prime motivations of seeking a college degree can be declared as a sense of privilege, Social enrichment, economic purposes, and a lip towards self actualization. To begin with, being a University student can be a stroke of good fortune. Different form high schools, Universities and colleges tempt to be well-equipped in terms of resources and facilities like libraries, laboratories and gymnasiums. The two tops of my hobbies- reading and sports can really nurture my heart as the fine library system and the school’s gym are highly taken advantage of ,needless to pay for them. Neither high school libraries, nor Public Libraries have ever met my so-called satisfactions due to their limited resource materials and fewer operating hours. An easy and free access to some E-journals, periodicals, newspapers about both contemporary and past issues, and the crammed book shelves which complements a University
