We didn't stay on the beach long, we all wanted to get a good nights sleep. My step-sisters Katy and Bethany have never been to Cedar Point before and the last time i was there was 8yrs ago. None of us could fall asleep, we were all to excited to go enjoy the huge amusment park. When our parents woke us up the next morning we all rushed around, even tho we had plenty of time before we got into the park an hour early. After we were all ready we ate breakfast at a very crowded resturant.
Petunia’s Dilemma Conflict Scenario Comm 2110 A little more than a year ago, Petunia was single mom raising 2 teenage boys in a quaint little beach town in Florida. She was basically stuck there; upside down in the mortgage on the little house that she and her late husband, Frank had scraped together a down payment for just before he died. With no formal education, she was driving 10 miles each way to her fast food job in the next county and still unable to make ends meet, she received government assistance as well. Her primary focus is her children. She would move heaven and earth to see to it that they get a college education, heaven forbid they ever have to struggle financially, like she did.
Even today she is a photographer, she runs a guest house, and she is always taking care of her family. I am the oldest of three children, but until I was seven I was the only one. Living in a big city includes things that smaller towns don’t have, traffic, big distances, poverty, and delinquency. So, for me, the beginning of the story was very indoors, doing homework, watching T.V., and later on, babysitting my younger sisters while my mom was at work. For the next 6 years or so, we moved in and out of many different apartments all over the city because of my dad and his issues.

There a lot of good teachings this movie can leave to any person because, at first, it teaches that nothing is impossible and that you must not give up however difficult that thing get; you always have to have hope. Also, it teaches how strong a friendship can be or in the moment that you least expected you know a truthful friend, in the least expected place, also. “Red” a killer who has spent all his life at prison and then Andy who is an innocent man that suffers at prison, and the only dream that these two friends have is to be free.
The laws stay with us through current events when a neighborhood watch captain murdered an unarmed black Florida teenager. The neighborhood watch captain was a community official, and the teenager would not have been shot had he been white. This means that scaled punishments and the social distinction between slave and free man persist. Interestingly, while many people believe the expression "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" came from the Bible that written about 1100 BC, the Code of Hammurabi predated it by perhaps 700 years. Half the Code deals with contract issues, such as wages for an ox driver or surgeon.
In Harper Lee’s ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ the town of Maycomb has been shaken with scandal. Tom Robinson, a black man, has been trialed and wrongly found guilty of raping a white woman. The fact that Maycomb town jury had convicted Tom on such little evidence has left Jem dumbfounded and asking just one question; ‘how could they do it, how could they? The answer; because Tom Robinson is black, the jury had ‘done it before…and they’ll do it again’. Tom’s case was never going to be a hard one evidence wise, but Atticus sets out to prove something more to the town and Jem especially, that they are all equals, ‘in their courts all men are created equal’.
Untill that day comes I will think of her and always have a big smile on my face. I cannot think of one person that new her that could ever say anything bad about her. My friends would call her for advice and just to say whatcha cooking for dinner tonight. Granmaw was everyones best friend. Her home was not very big but my family was a total of fifty eight people when we all got together, she only had a three bedroom one bath home and we all seemed to squeeze in there, along with numerous friends which would stop by.
The modern day novel and movie The Help shows many similarities that were portrayed in the classical novel To Kill a Mockingbird. Both The Help and To Kill a Mockingbird go into depth about the struggle humanity has been threw over the years. Although they both contain the same themes the way the authors create the situations and display the harsh reality of society’s make these two stories very different. During the depression prejudice was at its peak, with the Jim Crow laws and no rights for blacks it made it near impossible for the African American community to live a normal life. In the book To Kill a Mockingbird the rape trail of Tom Robinson vs Mayella Ewell, an African American man accused of raping a white teenage girl was held in a bias court room of Maycomb County.
