It is the least expensive site to exploit as a reservoir by as much as 20 Million dollars. No two dams are alike, and with a dam in Hetch-Hetchty the water would be used far more economically and would have a greater power output than if it were to be directly in Yosemite national park. If the dam were to be built anywhere lese then it would immediately cost 20 million more and it would not even have the potential to produce as much energy. At 60 Million Hetch-Hetchy is unbeatable.
