Over time progress has been made in putting a stop to the inequality among races and different ethnicities. However, African Americans, individuals of the Arab descent, Asian Americans, as well as other ethnicities continue to be discriminated against amongst the Caucasian race. Several prime examples of discrimination occur in such organizations, airports, government buildings and even in our police. Organizations such as the KKK formally known as the Ku Klux Klan, the Ku Klux Klan has existed from the year of 1865. KKK members dress in white sheets and cover their faces. KKK members believe that whites are superior to blacks. The KKK created a wave of terror which included threats of violence, bullying, lynching, setting fire to buildings…show more content…
The Arian Brotherhood believes whites should be above all of races and or ethnicities. The Arian Brotherhood is still posing threats against other various races and is a great example of racial discrimination still existing in America Today. Another form of discrimination provided by the Caucasian race is racial profiling, racial profiling is a term used to describe when police or other various law enforcement officials single out a person or group of people as “potential suspects” based on their race or ethnicity. Racial profiling continues to be a prevalent form of discrimination in the United States today. Said by Aclu, “Since September 11, 2001, new forms of racial profiling have affected a growing number of people of color in the U.S., including members of Muslim, Arab, and South Asian communities.” For example, if an African American man standing on a corner waiting for a bus he is more likely stopped and questioned why he is standing there and where he is going. Furthermore, when a Caucasian policeman notices a nice car based on the color or ethnicity of the driver, an individual of color is more likely to get pulled over rather than a white individual. In the work place discrimination can play a huge role in a person's race or skin color unfairly becoming a factor when deciding who receives a job, promotion, or other employment benefits. It has been said that whites have received favorable treatment, being ahead of other races and ethnicities when it comes to job offers and or promotions. Racial discrimination in the work place can also seem as if you are being harassed by co-workers and or your boss. Our own presidents as well as other politicians of the United States are extensively discriminated against. Because Of the variety of races and ethnicities they has been a targeted by various predominantly white organizations. Obama himself has been accused of not being a citizen of America just because of his ethnicity. A great number of Americans did not want to see Obama or any other politician holding such a powerful job just because of the color of their
