Insomnia is when a person has a hard time falling asleep, staying asleep, or a disturbance in the quality of sleep a person gets that will make them feel they are not well rested when they do wake. Insomnia is more common today then we think, about 10% of adults suffer from severe insomnia. Lack of sleep may cause someone to have no motivation, mood swings, and not be able to function to their full potential. Insomnia has also been known to cause depression, anxiety, and stress, which in turn can cause other health problems.
Science has proven that listening to calming music improves sleeping habits that is why it is chosen above other forms of sleep medication (Healing Power of Music). Music helps a person to sleep longer and better. When listening to calm melodies it puts one into a positive frame of mind making them feel more at peace. It gives the patient self-respect and confidence, causing them to look forward to the next day and realize they have a purpose. Also, it improves heart rate and breathing by slowing it down, which makes it easier for one to sleep in a peaceful state (Relaxing Music).
Most natural health professionals say “No.” Everyone knows that getting enough sleep is very important. After a good nights sleep, you feel better, your thoughts are clearer, and you’re more emotionally stable. However, if you don’t get enough sleep because of energy drinks, then you will notice a difference right away. The less sleep you get, the bigger chance you will get something called “Sleep Deprivation.” Sleep deprivation is a sleeping problem when you don’t let your body receive enough relaxation as it should. So basically, when you drink too much energy drinks, you’re not allowing your body to get enough rest.

People who are affected by Lupus go through many complications on an everyday basis. Not only, do the patients feel pain and the family suffer as well. Lupus can be very detrimental to one’s health. Lupus medications can help lower long-term risk and keep symptoms under control.
Research suggests that creatine improves strength and performance in teenagers who were already in shape and highly-trained for their sport. It is safe, but users should always look at label directions and follow manufacturer's suggestions when considering creatine. Although the supplement can help build muscle, creatine has many negative affects on the human body. Studies have shown that the long term use of creatine is not healthy. It can lead to many different factors such as: chronic heart failure, heart disease, bone density, depression, dialysis, high cholesterol, spinal cord injury, or memory loss.

Insomnia can cause problems with sleep patterns and in particular difficulties falling asleep or maintaining sleep. Some people who have very little sleep suffer no ill consequences and so a diagnosis of insomnia is not based on the number of hours slept but when the resulting daytime fatigue causes severe distress of impairs work, social or personal functioning for more than one month. Insomnia may be either secondary or primary. Secondary insomnia is when insomnia is caused by a psychiatric or medical disorder and is therefore often a symptom instead of another disorder.
Make sure to get plenty of rest. It is recommended at least 8 hours a night. Try and eat healthy. When you eat healthy and well balanced meals you have more energy and you feel better. Also exercise, not only does it keep you fit and healthy, but releases endorphins in the body that make you feel better as well.
Having great mental health means much to me especially as a young adult. What is mental health? The World Health organization defines mental health as "a state of well –being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community" (Organization). Having good mental health helps me to enjoy my life and also engage in everyday activities whether at home, school, even out with my friends. Having good mental health helps you stay focused and achieve in everyday life.
It is usually more common in people over the age of 50, however younger people can get it too. It is caused by Nerve cells in the brain that die which means that there is a lack of a chemical called Dopamine being produced. This chemical helps to regualte movement so if there is not enough of it movement becomes slower. Some people with this disease also develop a tremor or their muscles become rigid. There are other systomes of this disease which includes tiredness, pain depression and constipation.
