King of the cities. In recent years, people seem to have picked up the habit of ranking different things, for example, the best restaurants in Hong Kong, the best places to visit around the world. Although often subjective and biased, they reflect a certain degree of reality. Amongst these abstract rankings, there is one that rank cities judging on to their attributes. Obviously there are a lot of attributes to consider, some lesser or more essential than the others. In this occasion I have chosen three attributes that I regard as most significant from the list of many. Public health care system has different shapes in various countries, or in worst case, has no shape at all. Although the economic side of a city seems overwhelmingly important, it is foolish to abandon the health care system. Not only will it raise the standard of living instantly, an efficient health care system will also deliver other subtle benefits that might easily be forgotten. Affordable health care and an administrative health care department stabilizes the society, because there will not be outbreak of disease or a high death rate. On the other hand, cultural activities could possibly be misunderstood as a recreational, non-productive component of a city, and this is not a justified view. Citizens of a heavily industrialized city are very common in having a laborious live style, which involves very little comfort and pleasure. Cultural activities give way to citizens, not only those in industrialized cities, to express oneself. This diversity of life in turn provides a source of ideas for people to cultivate on, eventually new ideas and concepts are formed, pushing the society forward.
