SWOT Analysis is a planning method used to evaluate STRENGHTS, WEAKNESSES, OPPURTUNITIES and THREATS. * Strengths: characteristics of the project that give it an advantage over others. * Weaknesses: characteristics that place the team at a disadvantage relative to others * Opportunities: elements that the project could exploit to its advantage * Threats: elements in the environment that could cause trouble for the business or project 2. The strength of PTC: The strengths of PTC are that the company has an existing distribution network and that was an advantage that they put to use. Their strength also comes from the fact that they can source potatoes and raw materials locally from farmers very easily. The company is very strong financially as they are spending 20 Million US Dollars on advertising in a market worth 100 Million US Dollars. They came up with 16 different flavors to suit different tastes of the target group which was a big success and advantage for them. Finally the cross-functional team of PTC conducted excellent marketing researches which lead to their success. 3. The weaknesses of PTC: Weaknesses are the limiting factors internally. It has to do with the way the organization conducts its work. The case study does not clearly mention or determine the weaknesses of the company itself. If there was to be a more in depth analysis of the company, they will find that the company is completely new to the market. Their approach to the market has been aggressive and they might not have the experiences to go on with the snack industry. The company spent a large amount of money for advertisements, 20 percent value in the market size to be precise, and that may cause financial issues in the future.
