Sexually abused children is defined by any type of sexual interaction between adult and child, From kissing, Sexual touching, persuading a child to expose their sexual parts of their bodies, to complete intercourse. By law “Child Sexual Abuse” describes a criminal act which exploits minors for sex gratification by an adult. Children cannot consent to sex (The American Psychiatric Association 5, 6) therefore; an adult who has sex with a child is committing a criminal and immoral act, which is not normal and totally unacceptable behavior (5). Depending on size, Age and degree of force used a child can face physical injury, Long term emotional and psychological harm. Just to name a few, Depression, eating disorders, psychogenic amnesia, multiple personality disorder and borderline personality disorders. In most cases the child knows or is related to the abuser. The abuser can be a neighbor, Teacher, father, priest and even close friend of the child’s family. Like in my case, I come from a family of four boys and four girls including myself. We saw my dad as the monster, (he was the sexual child abuser of his own children) we was the perfect family, (in everyone eyes) nice clothes, nice house, nice family car. Dad made sure he kept close tabs on every single child in the house, we were never allowed to go anywhere by ourselves. Dad drove us anywhere we needed to go and often warn us about speaking family business out of the home. Everyone in the community loved and respected him. Perpetrators seem to have it all, Intelligent, good-looking, communities who adore them and excellent charmers (Dam 1). In the early 2000s, Society was shocked by the reports of sexual abuse committed by catholic priest. To be exact 10,667 children was sexually abuse by more than 4,300 priests (Gale 833-837).
