Preferences Dancing is something that I enjoy a lot. I’ve been dancing almost my whole life. Being a dance instructor numerous times I feel like I am quite the dance master. In my lifetime I have studied all types of dance such as ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. Dancing has always been my relief and getaway from what going on in the world. When I dance I feel like I can’t be touched almost like I’m on another planet. Growing up my mother signed me up for dance class I was six years old. At a young age I was able to pick things up such as dance routines which helped me out a significant amount at a later age. This gets me to my point Developmental psychology. Developmental psychology is the scientific study of systematic psychological changes, emotional changes, and perception changes that occur in human beings over the course of a life span. The relation to dance is the way I developed certain ways of being discipline, learned how to respect adults, and social skills with peers. Receiving this type of training at the pre-school age it helped me later in life and not only in dancing that goes for manners and discipline as well. Biological bases of behavior contributed to dancing by always having to be in rhythm or on beat with music and knowing when to do a certain routine. With all that you still need to be on the same page as your peers that may be participating in a piece with you. When a certain part of the music starts you must be on rhythm with precise execution. The music and the dance count act as memory for the movements that you will remember to make given the proper practice and preparation. Dancing affects my dream state of consciousness while sleeping. It is quite usual for me to have a dream of myself self dancing in form of thousands of people. Which plays a role in my craft of dancing when I’m out there it’s always still a chance that I can dance
