People want to purchase products that are made from companies that conduct business in an ethical manor and evidence to the contrary can tarnish a businesses reputation. A good business reputation and track record for ethics will make a person feel better about purchasing the product or service and will make further purchases more likely to occur. For example, companies that manufacture products that are environmentally friendly have been well received by the public and sales are high in the current market. People are buying green cars, and organic foods that are believe to be manufactured in an ethical manor t=which is friendly to the environment. On the other hand, products that are made by unethical practices such as slave labor are highly disregarded by the public and have seen declining sales as of late. A persons decision to or, not to purchase will depend on if the product ad message suits their needs and whether or not they have the financial means to purchase the product or service. The consumer responses to the message and decision-making are a result of cognitions that are mental, Psychosocial, and cultural and are different for each individual. In respect to supplement, the decision to purchase them will depend if the product connects with the individual and how they feel about the products that are being marketed.
