Motivation Evaluation Sherry Jenkins PSY/230 February 24, 2013 Aaron Thompson Motivation Evaluation Diana, Princess of Wales was born Diana Frances Spencer, on July 01, 1961, at Park House near Sandringham, Norfolk. Her mother and father were Viscount and Viscountess Althrop. She had two sisters older than her and one younger brother. Diana’s troubles would start at a young age because her insecurities would manifest despite the privilege her life provided. She was no stranger to the royal family since she played with Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. She would later meet Prince Charles, who she would marry even though he was 13 years her senior. The environment she lived in was one where she tried to help others in need while hiding her own health problems. Diana would quote “they say it is better to be poor and happy than rich and miserable, but how about a compromise like moderately rich and just moody,” (as cited by the Biography Channel website, 2013)? The divorce was finalized in 1996 and Diana devoted herself to her children and the charities she chose to keep. Her hopes were this would help her cope and hopefully stop her depression from getting any worse. The fact she was international celebrity help draw awareness to her charities and more than she wanted toward her. She constantly had to battle the negative aspects of her fame. She was constantly dodging paparazzi and her published romance with playboy Dodi Al-Fayed caused quite a stir and more media frenzy she had to try and deal with.
