COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION ENGL-101 Liberty University September 9, 2013 The debate of rather a computer is an empowering tool to those who embark upon it still exist today. A computer in the hands of a hard-working student is an important and empowering tool that, if utilized to the fullest potential, can be capable of encouraging that student to become a success in his or her studies. In today’s society, technology has become an integral part of education. It allows students and teachers access to information, show students real world, help with research projects, and prepares for jobs. I believe that with the many technological advances that have been made throughout history computers have made life easier.
Many offices have employees participate in conference calls using technology such as Skype or various other VOIP services to communicate with satellite offices or international clients. Because of the rapid pace in which technology is advancing, it is also necessary to keep upgrading your skills to meet those demands and stay competitive in your position. In Contrast to a specific set of skills is a broader knowledge or certain set of “soft skills” which are also paramount. Interpersonal skills are vastly important because they are what create a good first impression when applying for a job. A favorable first impression and interview will “make it or break it” for many people in this competitive job market.
Technology and communication go hand and hand these days. Technology provides instant communication at your finger tips. Using technology can keep you in touch with people across the globe and make it seem like they are sitting right beside you, it is fast and saves time and money. Working in the business world you need to know how to use technology like; the web, e-mails, word processing, PowerPoint and many others. Customer satisfaction is on the rise in the workplace, having good customer satisfaction will help you do more business.

On the other hand, I am certain that I need to improve my written skills. Similar to most jobs today the most important technologies used in this career path are the computer and telephone. Many parole officers are moving toward using laptops because they are on the go and laptops are portable. The telephone or cell phone is also important in order to contact the parolee, court personnel, and family members of the parolee. I consider myself proficient with both the telephone and computers alike.
As part of his vision for the business, he focused on re-allocating resources and activities for key positions. He wanted for the employees to concentrate in activities that could transmit advantages that the company could offer to their customers by working and growing together. One of the key positions is the Account Manager; they were responsible to build relationships with software developers and vendors but also to work very close with customers and helping and encouraging them to create value together. Li is a promising account manager and even though he’s been in the company for a short period, his performance on creating relationships with top management had been so far very productive. He has recently been working very hard on a project to help software developers to help them run their business but overtime this project has become more and more complex.

My objective is to work hard at improving my writing skills, having better study skills, and becoming an enhanced student overall. Once I graduate from GCU; I will have a higher level of communication skills, and confidence to become professional and skilled in all that I achieve. Reflective Paper The capacity to continually learn and adapt is essential to the success of organizations in today's rapidly changing world (White, 2005). Through research for this assignment I am going to answer the question, “Is being a learning organization an advantage that will set you apart from the competition?” The Business Dictionary defines a learning organization is an organization that acquires knowledge and innovated fast enough to survive and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
