I would like people to understand that banning gay marriage violates peoples civil rights
I.opening (controversial topic that some may or may not agree with)

III. Proposition 8 takes that right away. (Not many choices)    
Proposition 8 was a California ballot proposition that changed the state constitution to restrict the definition of marriage to a union between a man and a woman, thus eliminating the right of same sex couples to get married.
I.Specific Details
A. Money Raised, 37.6 million for and 35.8 million against.
B. Became the highest funded non political party vote in any state ballot in the country.  
C. Votes Counted as of Nov 19th , 6,775,560 (52.3%) voted yes and 6,203,012 (47.7%) voted no.
D. (Demographics)   CNN reported that not one demographic made up one side of the vote but it was a very mixed vote.
E.   Example: 60% married voted yes, 65% single no, 53% Latino voted no, 70% of African American voted yes.
Now we will discuss both sides f the vote and look at the different views.
      II. Yes on Prop 8
            A. Protect Marriage.com is the group that pushed that prop 8 be out on the ballot.
            B. Ron Prentice claims to be defending society and that if this is not passed it is bad for the       children.
              C. The all American family will fall apart and loose its values.
              D. Homosexuals will be allowed to get married in churches that "you and I" attend everyday.
      III. No on Prop 8
              A. Gov of California stated that the homosexual community should not give up until they get the desired results.
B. Civil Rights, Freedom of Choice, Equal Rights.
C. To each his own, "What does it matter to you who I marry"
