1. What did the salesperson do correctly in this situation? Do you think any errors were made? The salesperson first asked correctly the customer what they particular shoes are looking for although the customer didn’t know very much about running shoes. Then salesperson exactly gave the customer recommendations by asking the specific question how much does the customer run a week, where does the customer most run. The salesperson gave the choice for the customer and told the customer how these two running shoes will benefit to him. In addition, the salesperson did correctly by asking the feeling when the customer try the running shoes. I don’t think there are any errors made by the salesperson in this situation. 2. If you were looking for a new pair of running shoes, would you have bought from this salesperson? Why? Yes, I would buy the running shoes from this salesperson if I were looking for a new pair of running shoes. I think the most important factor to buy running shoes is the quality. This salesperson gave the right recommendation that benefit exactly what the customer wants and needs .The both shoes are sturdy which have advantage on holding up well for running a lot a week. It also proves that shoes can be worn for a long time that will save money to buy other running shoes in a short time. And one of shoes also has the vibration-reducing heel which will save feet and legs a lot of stress. 3. How did the salesperson show professionalism in this situation? How did this salesperson differ from the one in Case 14-1? The salesperson showed professionalism by asking the customer question to know what kind of running shoes the customer really needs and wants and give the recommendation for customer.
