For example: A Service user cannot understand a menu when It is present in a list form , so we could help them make their choice by getting images of meals they would be presented with to eat. Also try to explain the importance of a healthy diet. If the dilemma was to be a reoccurrence or become a bigger issue at meal times, it would be a good idea to report it to the NIC or the service users case manager to then discuss other options available with the chef. 2. Each service user is different and they all like/ dislike different foods.
Unit 57- Support individuals to eat and drink 1. Describe ways to resolve any difficulties or dilemmas about the choice of food and drink (1.1.3) Some people might refuse to eat the food that have been given to them. They may have difficulty in eating and may be given food in a liquidised form or soft diet as this could be what it states in their care plan. If someone is on one of these diets then they may not be able to choose what they want to eat, this can cause problems between the service user and supporting staff members. This can be resolved by reporting the issue to your senior member of staff on shift or your manager.
For instance, losing energy, feeling sick, might faint. People usually lie to their body every day by eating stuff that they are not supposed to do is because they do not know what they are really eating. Some people do not really care what they are eating as long it’s delicious, they would accept it. As matter fact, people worry more about their daily task than eating appropriately. In his article,” In defense of food “: Michael Pollen established “what is food” and why do American’s eat nonfood in such large quantities?” Definitely, I’m agree about food labels do provide enough information for consumers to make an informed choice about what to feed their bodies.
Field Trial McDonalds may use this and bring out a new product for a limited amount of time or in limited stores to see how it does. * People may not like the product totally and it could be a waste of a try for McDonalds. * It is expensive to set up schemes like this and the product could be a total failure. * It takes time to get enough research to bring out the new product and the research costs a
Is it worth it to search for a longer time to get the food that you want? “Further, whereas some areas might find it fairly easy to eat locally (in Washington State, for example, I’m less than fifty miles from industrial quantities of fresh produce, corn, wheat, beef, and milk), people in other parts of the country and the world would have to look farther afield.”. It may be a problem to search for the foods that you want because they may be in unusual areas that you may have never been (or wanted to go) before. You will just have to get over this fact if you want to become a locavore. As you can see, there are many things you must take into account if you want to make the choice to become a locavore.
It might be that the client was not aware of your visit or forgot you where coming and went out. Never just leave the property as the client might still be inside and is not able to come to the door because they had a fall or is unconscious. Phone the next of kin or family member or another key holder. If you gain access by using a key safe and there is no one home please inform the office. 3.2.
Corporations make us fat Many people claim that it is personal responsibility of what you eat, however fast food corporations and their marketing strategies make it almost impossible to say no. From childhood we are conditioned to grab a large combo meal on our way home instead of going to the grocery store then cooking it ourselves. The ease, convenience, and the cheap prices make it all too easy for consumers. Corporations are to blame for America’s obesity problems because of their lack of nutritional information available to consumers, their lack of alternatives, and their brand recognition and advertisements addicting us from childhood. There is no calorie information posted in any fast food restaurant.
Many people may not realize the seriousness or negative effects of obesity, however, the obesity can create many health problems in the long run and you can take simple steps to avoiding the extra calories and weight. Whether if it’s engaging in a physical activity instead of staying home and playing a game console, eating more fruits to create a balanced diet instead of going through a drive through, or even cooking more at home to avoid buying a greater amount of processed foods, this will all be small steps to creating a healthier lifestyle. Americans must become aware of the dangers of obesity and work together to get the world back to a healthier
Jane African American History L-I Ms. McGrath April 19, 2013 The topic that my group did was on whether people are less likely to be obese if they eat home cooked meals, rather than eating at fast food restaurants. Parents can manipulate their children’s eating style if they provide them with home cooked meals. Parents can control what kind of foods they buy and how they structure meals in their house. When it comes to fast food restaurants, customers are very unaware of what is used to cook the food or what exactly is in the food, which can be a very risky and unhealthy thing. In reality children are less likely to be obese if they eat home cooked meals 5 or 6 days out of the 7 days in a week, rather than eating out.
In the case, what are the costs and benefit of the cafeteria’s system? ANSWERS 1. • SEGREGATION OF DUTIES - The concept of having more than one person required to complete a task. In business the separation by sharing of more than one individual in one single task is an internal control intended to prevent fraud and error. In this case, the person who records the order and the amount to be paid by the customer is not the same person who collects the money from the customer.
