How To Make BRCC Safer To make the Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) campus a much safer environment, BRCC must fix the pot holes in the parking lot and clean every restroom more frequently and often. Pot holes are very dangerous and should be filled in immediately due to risk and danger they cause to vehicles and their drivers. It should be mandatory for janitors to clean and keep the bathrooms maintained every single day because of the amount of students and faculty that use the restrooms on a daily basis. Having filthy restrooms causes students to catch germs and bacteria which can lead to sickness. Fixing these two issues is a very strong start to ensuring the safety of the students and faculty of Baton Rouge Community College. BRCC is an environment with a lot of different people going in and out of restrooms, many times during the day. There are millions of germs and bacteria spreading every second and a bathroom is the most contagious area. Some students tend to not clean up after their selves, leaving trash on the ground, in the stalls, or sinks, causing bad smells and bugs. Sneezing and touching a door handle or simply not washing your hands can cause sickness to the next person coming thru and using the doorknob. Nasty, slippery, or sticky floors are hazardous conditions that could lead to injury. Every floor should be swept and mopped every day or at any time needed. Keeping track of paper towels, soap, and toilet paper is a necessity also. I feel that there should be at least two janitors for each building at BRCC who clean the restrooms every day after hours of class. .
