Proactiv Solution Facial Cleaning System Brenda Mayo Face it, there’s something about a clean, acne free, even toned face when it comes to maintaining your facial appearance; especially when it comes to us women. We all would like to have that “easy, breezy, cover-girl look”, but we must first start out with a clean canvas-our face. According to the developers of Proactiv Solution, you can have just that. Dr.Katie Rodan, who is a co-developer of Proactiv, is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. She has a private practice in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology in Oakland, California. Dr. Kathy Fields, who is a co-developer of Proactiv, is a Stanford-trained, board-certified dermatologist who has been in private practice in San Francisco since 1987. They both stand behind these claims. The sponsors make the claim that you can have a clean, acne free, moisturized face when you use their product, Proactiv. I am reviewing this product because I have purchased the product in the past, used it for three months, and have had the opportunity to validate its claims. I found that while some of the claims made did meet my expectations, not all did. Their first claim is that Proactiv will “renew” your skin. It is a medicated cleaner made with exclusive micro-crystan benzoyl peroxide, which is supposed to kill acne causing germs on contact. It also is suppose to remove dirt, excess oil and dead skin cells. I found that the product met this expectation being that it did clear up my acne over a period of time. I can’t vouch for the fact that it works on contact as it took sometimes for me to see the results. It may have or may not have. I found that having such a high concentration of peroxide tended to dry out my skin even though it is supposed to work on all skin tones. I found this as
