Sometimes abusive behavior does not cause pain or even leave a bruise, but it is still unhealthy. -bruising, scolds, burns, cuts, fractures -repeated injuries -visible marking (finger marks, cigarette burns) -misuse of medication -change in behavior -weight loss for no apparent reason -unexplained falls or injuries -force feeding -the way customer interacts with others * Sexual abuse refers to any action that pressures or coerces someone to do something sexually they don’t want to do. -physical evidence of trauma (bruising, bleeding, pregnancy) -damage of the intimate parts of the body -changes in behavior -emotional changes -weight loss for no apparent reason -change in personal hygiene -overt sexual behavior/language * Emotional/psychological abuse is a form of abuse characterized by a person subjecting or exposing another. -aggression, mood swings -a customer withdrawing into themselves -self imposed isolation -self harm -low self esteem -loss of interest in their own appearance -too much or too little sleep -fear -excessive attention seeking -being ignored, bullied, shouted at, put down * Financial abuse another name for stealing or defrauding someone of goods, money or property.
