What is the goal of this source? • Reflect: Once you've summarized and assessed a source, you need to ask how it fits into your research. Was this source helpful to you? How does it help you shape your argument? How can you use this source in your research project?
By explaining to students what the learning objectives are provides an aim. Assessment for learning allows students to see how they are progressing. A good assessment will show students where they are at and what further learning they need to achieve. Another characteristic of assessment for learning is self assessment. It means that students can take responsibility for some of their own progression.
This assignment should be added to the learners PDP’s. P5 and M3 – require learners to reflect on and explain how the knowledge gained within the classroom has influenced their professional development within placement. Learners should use examples where possible to link their theoretical understanding to practical experience. This M3 criterion could be completed in the middle of the learner’s course of study and then towards the end of the course as this would lead into learners covering D2 which requires learners to
Assignment 426 Teaching, Learning and Assessment in Education and Training Task A - Report Part 1 Write a report in which: * Analyse the relationships and boundaries between the teaching role and other professional roles * Analyse the role and use of initial and diagnostic assessment in agreeing individual learning goal * Explain why it is important to identify and meet the individual needs of learners * Describe points of referral to meet the needs of learners * Summarise key aspects of legislation, requirements and codes of practice relating to own role and responsibilities. Part 2 Within the report explain: * Analyse your own role and responsibilities in education and training * How does your own planning meets the individual needs of learners * Ways in which teaching and learning plans can be adapted to meet the individual needs of learners * Why it is important to promote appropriate behaviour and respect for others * Ways to promote equality and value diversity * The purposes and types of assessment used in education and training Part 3 Reflecting on your delivery and relating to further reading and research, write a personal analysis relating to your own area of specialism which considers the following: * The effectiveness of teaching and learning and learning approaches in relation to meeting the individual needs of learners * The benefits and limitations of communication methods and media * The effectiveness of resources and assessment methods in relation to meeting the individual needs of learners * Ways in which minimum core elements can be demonstrated in planning, delivering and assessing inclusive teaching and learning Your report should be presented in a professional written format of your choice and should include evidence of your research
As shown by Wilson (2013, pp.4-7), CBR identifies information by means of “empirical and theoretical work” based on different aspects of the classroom. This knowledge is then reflected on and presented for others to gain a better understanding of teaching and learning in the classroom. CBR is essential

Be able to evaluate own performance Use of feedback to evaluate own performance and inform development: feedback from others can develop own knowledge, skills and understanding and may include: identifying areas for improvement, increasing my capacity for problem solving, helping me to understand others` perspectives. 4. 1.2. Impact of information literacy skills on independent learning Information literacy skills empower the learners with the critical skills which will help them to become effective independent learners by evaluating information critically and competently (Nicholls, 2002). They are used for academic purposes, such as research papers and group presentations. Information literacy skills enable the independent learners to weigh information carefully and wisely to determine its quality, understands traditional and emerging principles for assessing the accuracy, validity, relevance, completeness, and impartiality of information thus enabling them to use logic and informed judgment to accept, reject, or replace information to meet a particular need. Information literacy skills enables an independent learner apply the principles of information literacy to access, evaluate, and use information about issues and situations of personal interest by actively and independently seeking information to enrich understanding of career, community, health, leisure, and other personal situations( Andretta, 2005).
Another role is to evaluate the tutor's own teaching and revise learning plans if necessary. In terms of boundaries, the tutor should receive an introduction at the place of work and with that some outlines within the organisation's expectations in regards to role and responsibilities of a tutor as well as a feel of the organisation's ethos. It is however important to know how far to take the role of tutor and when is appropriate to refer a student to a different professional or bodies like the learning support team for diversity or disabilities issues. A tutor must remember to act within the syllabus and in relation with what he or she is teaching and not beyond the course, maintaining either professional as well as personal boundaries and always keeping in mind confidentiality, following the requirement expected within the
It will attempt to define what being a reflective teacher means, whether it is a worthwhile exercise to pursue and in practical terms, how it can be achieved. It will look at a number of different models of reflective practice put forward by educational theorists and the degree of their success. As with any model, it can only be tested on real evidence and this will be taken from my portfolio of work from my NQT year and to a lesser degree from ITT training practice. I hope to prove that being a reflective practitioner is worthwhile to your personal and teaching development, once you can establish the model and practical methodology that works within your own teaching philosophy. Before applying the theory of reflective practice to my experiences, it is important to understand what this “abstract” (Watson & Wilcox, 2000, p.58) idea means to me in my own teaching context and development.
It describes the basis of this research in sociocultural approaches, particularly Vygotsky’s sociocultural based theory. Then it present the basic hypothetical principles that arise from this research then explains how the sociocultural concept facilitated the establishment of partnerships between information professionals and education and teaching staff in society of practice for integration of information literacy. It will also provide a brief outline of sociocultural models and present the manner by which ideologies that arises from the methodology can be used in conditions that require attention to both study process and curricular system. THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVES IN INFORMATION LITERACY RESEARCH There are various research approaches and methods that have been used in exploration
