College athletes should not be paid to play sports because most athletes are attending college on full or partial scholarship and receive financial aid packages. This money is basically paying the students to study. Student athletes do bring greater part of the money into the school but most of the money is spent on them to. Paying athletes to play would create a huge gap in college sports because of the ability to pay more at the bigger schools.
Inflation aside, this means college is getting more expensive. Unless your parents are wealthy enough to pay for your tuition or you worked your tail off to receive a full-ride scholarship, more often than not, you have to take out student loans to fund your education. As a result of the high price tag of getting an education, many graduates struggle when faced with the trouble of paying off that huge debt. It’s no longer a right to attend higher education. To many, myself included, attending college is now a luxury.
Frontline College Inc. says that the money that is spent on advertisements is a big percentage than what is spent on the faculty and educators of the school. Colleges spend a lot of time figuring out how they are going to get students to enroll instead of being focused on the students concerns. Education should be first priority with schools, because of the amount they are paying for a better future, for-profits pay double of what students pay for regular community colleges. The amount of tuition paid should be the amount of care towards the student’s education that is received by teacher with promises
The first reason is because a lot of people want a job that will pay very good money. By going to college, you will have the hands-on learning education you need to start your chosen career. This is a huge reason why a lot of careers require you to have at least a two or four year degree. Another reason why college matters is because it helps students boost their confidence level out in the real world. There are countless things that people have to do every single day in life so going college will help give you a better idea of what the definition of life really is.
Though, merit-based scholarships do apply more pressure on students who are already under a great amount of pressure trying to achieve the highest SAT or ACT scores to even qualify for their “dream college,” but merit scholarships are not entirely based on these tests, and “[considers] a range if factors that include grades, essays, and so on.”(Staples) Students don't have to freak out about not getting the perfect score, but need to focus on being a relatively good student, and preform at a high academic level of education, or performance ability. Some may argue that merit-based scholarships tend to serve “high-achieving students – ...whom don't need the money to attend college”(Hamilton College to End Merit Scholarships in Favor of Need-based Aid). This idea applies the generalization that the only students that do well in school or that perform better, are the ones with money. Continuing Education and a Students Options Attending and then graduating from college is a great achievement for any person to be able to say they have accomplished in life. A student living in the Cincinnati, Ohio area has many choices of what colleges to go to. Students who chose certain colleges do so based on where they are geographically located and how far they are from their family first and foremost. However, with today’s economy the decision of what college to attend is very difficult. People have to think long and hard about what college would give them the best education for their money instead of just where it is located.
Most people go to school to get a job or career that pays more money. I am one of those people. I know that going back to school will help me out financially. Financial aid is another reason why I decided to attend Ashford University. It has helped me with the debt that I had prior to returning to school.

The students graduated and became social workers. The faculty member said “They knew that school would be their saving grace, that knowledge was the only thing that couldn’t be snatched.” In other way by them to finish school that would be the only thing they will have for them to save them from poverty and no one would take it away, because now they will have a degree they have earned on their own; have better jobs and be financially stable. These students are trying to overcome poverty by getting an education. Homelessness among college students is a big problem. Not a lot of people are aware of it.
Solution Essay Today people are living in an era where working smarter, learning faster and adapting quickly keeps one ahead of the curve. It only makes sense to go to college since it provides access to the first set of resources for keeping up with the times. Unfortunately college is both an extremely risky and expensive option. Tuition prices are even high enough to force people to defer from the college route. National Center for Education states that only 59% of first time students graduate from college within six of their bachelors program.
