Now that President Obama has taken office many of us wonder whats next for us as Americans. I believe that we can expect many great things from having Obama as our 44th president . Our country will begin to embrace and bring together everyone during this time of recession. He will still face certain obstacles that will test his presidency. First I think the number one effect of having President Obama in office is that it will open up the door to many people of different race and ethnicity to make the change we all look forward to and need. He will be a great leader of this country because he brings people together. From now on it will not be far fetched to believe there can be a president that is not of caucasian decent. We face a time now where we all have problems and creating more because of your beliefs and prejudices does not help the situation. Some may believe that his inexperience will cause problems with the way he handles foreign policy. This will be his biggest task in my oppinion. Proving to the American People that he will not be moved on where he stands. He will have to show that America is not weak. Obama seems likely to have control over the re-establishment of the bipartisan consensus that was the backbone of foreign policy during the cold war and the 1990’s. An immense understanding of Obama's appeal comes from his positive, even optimistic approach to policy-making. We will see many countries respect him and the U.S.A more so now than when we had President Bush. Even now as he has taken the position as President the Israeli troops rapidly withdrew themselves from the Gaza Strip after equally Israel and Hamas proclaimed "unilateral" cease-fires. Although he is now the key to unlocking a lot of the closed doors in the U.S today he will be the most protected president ever. The United States cannot afford to take any risks
