Dear: National Junior Honor Society Committee I currently represent the “Character” Trait of NJHS by being honest to others and very workable with my fellow peers. Many people rely on me as a very good person to come to in a great time of need. I deeply care for my family and other people. I also listen to others ideas to help improve their idea or to help make it a reality. I will use all of these characteristics to help this organization reach out to people in need.
Write a Sequel-To Kill a Mockingbird Every summer on my way home from college I stop in front of the old court house and think back to that summer that shaped my future. Maycomb hasn’t changed much in the year’s sense then. The grass still grows wildly from the sidewalk and everyone in the town still knows everything about everyone. Your last name is just as important today as it was 15 years ago. This court house made me want to make a difference and watching Atticus that day defending Tom Robinson, although I didn’t know it than, gave me a great respect for him, the law and what I can do to help people and do the right thing.
Aside from the class content I learned that I don’t wait for things to happen I went into this telling my group that under no circumstance could I lead this project but I found myself incapable of waiting for things to evolve on their own, I have more of a leader personality than I thought. How did the interpersonal dynamics affect your participation? If there were conflicts, how were they resolved? I am not shy and I was able to communicated with team members well, we had fun most of the time. Unfortunately we did not have a good dynamic with at least 1 team member which cause a quite a bit of delay and frustration, but we were able to side step this for the most part and push on with the objectives.
3.4 Why is it important to the services? The mountain rescue team are important to the public services because they have been involved with 40 callouts in the past 12 months to save lives and give them the help they needed. Therefore if they didn’t go and they were no ambulances available or any other kind of help their lives could have been at risk or they could have been stuck or lost for a long time. 10.20 20/12/2014 Team Call Out. ‘Search in Chester-le-Street area for a high risk missing from home.
Service Learning Project 30 December 2012 Keep Council Bluffs Beautiful For my group’s project, we will be working with the Keep Council Bluffs Beautiful organization to clean up trash for two miles near IWCC. Keep Council Bluffs Beautiful is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2008. Its goals work towards making Council Bluffs a cleaner and greener place. It is ran by a volunteer board of directors. They also work to strengthen and improve neighborhoods and help the people of the community to become more a part of the community and neighborhoods.
Some of the services they offered to do was blood pressure checks, vision checks, dental checkups and dental work, diabetes screenings, chiropractic, family counseling and health education all free of charge. The year I volunteered about 800 people came to the event seeking medical assistance but what struck me more by surprise was how how some of the member's in my community didn't know why it was so important to get regular routine health checkups. Some of those who did, just didn't go because of the fact that they were uninsured and it would cost them money that they didn't have or were just not able to afford. During High School my senior year I also went through a program offered by ROP to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. When I graduated I received my cerfification and started working since the age of 18 in the City of Indio right next to
Single project however, do not require the depth that these other tools use for the project itself. Finding quality and procedural issues however, these tools work very well for and is what they were actually meant to help
There were times where I worked in sets of groups in the past but none insisted a group presentation. This let me work with people with different qualities and allowed me to be tolerant and be co-operative. I thought these were important values as it meant I had to once again use my time management skills. The positive thing of group work is that some pressure is taken of your shoulders because members of the group are given their own part of the project. This also meant I had to trust my co-workers when deadlines were
Walk4Hearing At the Carilon park in downtown Dayton on Saturday May 19th. Tasha Nguyen, Allyson Skwir and I woke up early to walk at this year’s 4th annual Dayton/Cincinnati Walk4Hearing Event. The Hearing Loss Association of America's Walk4Hearing is the largest walk of its kind in the country that raises awareness and helps to eradicate the stigma associated with hearing loss. Money raised is shared between the national organization and local walk sites. We were in teams to help raise money for the cause; our team was called the Wright State Ramblers.
