INTRODUCTION In this amazing project you will find information base on pollution (water, land, river, acid, rain and eutrophication). The causes and ways of mitigation each problem are also mentioned. In addition to the information, pictures of each topic researched are included. References are also shown. I hope the readers will learn a lot from this research while having fun. WHAT IS POLLUTION? Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that causes adverse change. Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or light. Pollutants, the components of pollution, can be either foreign substances or energies or naturally occurring contaminants. Pollution is often classed as point source or non-point source pollution. There are two types of pollutants: Primary Pollutants: Are those gasses or particles that are pumped into the air to make it unclean. They include carbon Monoxide from auto-mobile (Cars) exhausts and sulphur dioxide from the combustion of coal. Secondary Pollutants: When pollutants in the air mixes up in a chemical reaction, they form an even more dangerous chemical. Photo-chemical smog is an example of this, and is a secondary pollutant.
