Literature Review Scientists have always sought to discover the benefits of physical activities through a number of experiments. Their results conclude that doing physical activities can benefit people in a variety of ways. Hoyle, M. G (2011) claims that blood flow to our brains can be stimulated during exercise. The author adds that regular exercises will boost the functioning of our brains, especially for teenagers (Hoyle, M. G., 2011). As Nanci Hellmich (2010) quotes what Howell Wechsler said, doing physical exercises can boost students’ academic performance. In detail of some of the findings in Nanci’s (2010) article, he indicates that doing physical activities can increase students’ grades and enhance their concentration span. Others like Mayo Clinic staff (2011) states that doing exercises can be beneficial to weight control. Also, the staff explains that a robust body, good mood and diseases protection can be built by doing exercises. What’s more, the staff claims that exercises can yield more energy and can guarantee a good sleep (Mayo Clinic staff, 2011). In Blackburn’s (2011) research, he suggests that doing regular exercises can reduce the risk of death for people who does not have the history of cardiac disease. Blackburn also states that to people who have had heart diseases, doing exercises can directly eliminate 25% of death rate. The study conducted by Harvard School of Public Health (2011) also proposes the disadvantage of being sedentary as a potential to get chronic diseases. Chronic diseases have constituted one of the primary causes of human mortality in 20th century (Cockerham, 2005). As a result, scientists have devoted many efforts to exploring solutions to reduce the possibility of getting chronic diseases.
