It is ridiculous to keep students on school site during break! They have to bore themselves to death because they can’t go to a shop to buy something nice outside of school! Instead, students should have the right to leave during their free time.
Students should NOT be forced to stay in school during breaks. One of the reasons is that lunches in school are very expensive compared to prices in shops. A slice of pizza costs over one pound, and not only does it taste pretty bad, but there have been incidents where hair was found in food. In fast food restaurants, the food is much better quality and value for money. This is really unfair and students are wasting money buying small meals for big prices. This means that you either pay a lot or don’t get enough food. Secondly, there is nothing interesting going on at school during break time. Students are no longer allowed to play games or watch videos in the LRC because of the new LRC manager who is very strict on reading books from the age of the dinosaurs, and we (students) are not always allowed to stay in the building. Do you REALLY think its fair?
Thirdly, students want to get out from school to go buy some well priced food so they are going over the back gate and often get caught and have no right to avoid punishment, even if their reason is good enough. Then they have to stay for one hour after school and teacher thinks it’s a punishment, but some students don’t have anything else to do so they don’t care if they stay.
Finally, staying at school and getting bored is a waste of time. We should be allowed outside of school but under few conditions: Parents should be informed about the new policy, and sign a permission slip whether they allow their child out of school or not. Also, its the job of police to patrol the most critical places around and watch out for others.
Overall, I really think that so far we are only allowed to enter the school, but we are not allowed to leave...
