More Time In Class? Introduction A longer school year or school day has been a heavily debated topic in the United States for several years now.. Recently, President Barrack Obama has further expanded his thoughts on this issue, stating that he acknowledges that longer school years and school days are not widely popular, but that the challenges our country faces demands more time in the classroom for students. Many students disagree with Obama's proposal, but still some would like to hear out his argument. Many students say that they would protest longer school days and years if it was passed, doing so by walking straight out of the school doors.
Gaspar Tavira WRT 95 Ms. Boza 9/12/ 2012 “Freemont High School” “Engaging with the Text” questions 1-4 p648 1. The shame of the nation supports the story title and what is says throughout the story. The main reasons are because students at Freemont High were being put into portable classes which are like trailers. In each class there would be up to 40 students. That was not the right way to treat the students.
Was Dunkirk a success or a failure? The Dunkirk battle happened in the Second World War and it was between the Allis and the Germany. I personally think Dunkirk was a failure. Dunkirk was a failure because in the film Atonement it shows the soldiers running around, which shows a lack of discipline. It also shows that they are disorganized and they had no orders as there were soldiers being shown running around or throwing up because they had drunk so much.
Druggies are stereotype by their actions because they don’t obey authority, get in trouble, and don’t focus in school. The movie Pineapple Express shows this stereotype because their stupid and don’t obey the law. Druggies are stereotyped by their appearance because they smell, and don’t care how they look. In the movie Pineapple Express shows this because the main characters smell and dress how they want and don’t care. Another stereotype of druggies is their dialogue because they don’t speak proper English, laugh at everything and cuss all the time.
the time, money, and energy the NEA puts into issues like same sex marriage, abortions, homosexuality, womens rights, etctra, is excessive when we have students graduating who have great difficult with reading or struggle with basic math skills. the NEA's powerful hold on education today leaves them mostly responsible for the holes we have in our education. it is not only the faulty curriculum, but most importantly the failing teachers who the NEA hides, defends, supports, and so on; sticking by their constant cry of not enough pay, however is that an excuse to pass students who should have been held back years ago? the most disturbing problem with the NEA is when they brag about the success of their million dollar programs that are supposed to increase reading and writing skills, math skills, and overall education; the issue occurs when barely a quarter of students show positive results. how can anyone boast and petition funds for programs that are not
The Loss of loved ones; loss of important family members and loss of friends resulting from irresponsible drunk drivers on the road are tragic and permanent. Drunk driving is like playing with fire because most of the time, the drunk drivers think they are suitable for driving. Unfortunately, the liquor already affects their minds, they do not care about themselves and other people’s lives, and that is not only selfish but a deadly combination. You have no right to let anyone else suffer from the consequence of your action especially innocent bystanders and their loved ones. One of the biggest causes of drunk driving is the person who hasn’t adequately prepared for the situation.

The Silliest Fear There are people in the world who say they fear nothing but we all know that is a lie. Everyone fears something whether it be snakes, fish, or even a person. I, myself, have many fears, yet the fear I developed in October of 2011was by far the silliest for I feared my drivers test. Many factors caused my development of that fear for example; I only had two months to practice. This is because when I took my written exam to receive my driving permit I had to schedule the road test right then and there.
