There is so much we can do if people just invest the time and recognize how real this is. People don’t seem to understand or believe anything bad can come from texting until it actually happens to them. Then it’s too late but it doesn’t have to be. I’m no scholar or professional on highway safety but I do have common sense and I have been affected by this epidemic personally and that just puts fuel on the fire so I can save someone else from the pain it may bring. I lost a good friend of mine I known since I was middle school to texting and driving.
Sometimes when forgiving it is important to figure out what will make ones self feel better and make it possible to move on. It’s a personal decision, it does not matter what others think. Sanyika took a long time to realize what would make him happy but once he realized what he wanted he learned to forgive and forget and just move on. This just goes to show one can forgive, it might take time and show its challenges but it is one of the few things one can do to reach a point in their life where they feel at peace and full-
Walter Lee was so taken back by this that he was so happy Mama did what she did with the money because he believes that what he was going to use the money for would not of gotten him accepted within a white community. The saying “With great risk comes great reward” defines the Younger’s situation. Some people would not take that risk to see the reward, but Mama was willing to do that. In this case the reward is much greater than the risk that was taken. Yes they did risk what they had and encounter some terrible things, but for a black family to be accepted into a white community in this time period you could not ask for a better reward than
It is true that he could not control it, but when he knew it was wrong he should have went for help. He still went to jail, but his sentence was lighter. With help, he could have gotten an early diagnosis and medication. While having zero libido is something very few, if anyone, would want, it beats out a crazily overactive libido that results in illegality and jail time. 2.
I realize that not everyone will be your best friend, but if I spend time obsessing over it and begin to hate them, it will just bring down my own life. Although if I love them, or like them I will go on not worrying about all the hate and live happier. I am trying to incorporate some of the life lessons from each of the three books into my own life, so I can allow myself more personal fulfillments and cease the opportunity at an unbelievable life. Feeling fulfillment in life can allow someone to feel happy and realize what they have been working hard for will come in the
If you didn't shoot him what do you think you would be doing right now? You would be looking for a new job or trying to cover for him. If it kept happening you wouldn't have any money then you wouldn’t be able to do anything at all. I know it’s going to be hard to carry on without Lennie but it will eventually get easier because you won't be worrying about what trouble he is getting you into and what trouble you will be running way from next. Like you told him before, “If I was alone I could live so easy”.
We all have people we don’t like but we probably didn’t give them enough time. “’If you wait long enough people will surprise and impress you.”’ (155). There’s more people than we realize in our lives that can help us, just give them more time to show themselves. We shouldn’t worry that much about what people think about us because we should be happy with ourselves and it wastes our time. “If nobody ever worried about what was in other people’s heads, we’d all be 33% more effective in our lives and our jobs.” (141).
They are in fact similar characters in strive for the next biggest prize, or a certain euphoric feeling from doing what they only know best. Stratifying their roles, possibly a survival mechanism, learning and adapting. Though Deniro seemed drawn to a positive change and thought he may have even gone trough with it and started a new without living with “heat”. He could not give up that last urge to patch up, maybe, his final chapter he had to finish in his old life before he started a new life. Or is it an addiction, and he would not have changed one bit, though Deniro made an attempt.
He enrolled in college and graduated with honors in 1992. In 1995 he received his master’s degree and was headed toward getting his doctorate, but his self-improvement efforts was met with resistance, so he focused on helping his fellow inmates and their families adjust to life in prison by writing resources and developing programs (Harris, 2011). This can be a success story for other inmates if more money and effort was put toward rehabilitation, instead of punishment. Think about it, those that are getting locked up will eventually do their time and be released. Why not provide adequate rehabilitative services so that when they are released back into society, will be able to lead productive
Redemption is an act of goodness from the regretful heart, from guilt of the past. A person who had made a mistake before would be corroded slowly by his regret and the pain that haunts him days by days. However, "there is a way to be good again", he may have killed a life, but he can save another life to pay back for the sin. That's how redemption simply works. People could not change the past; therefore, they would do a good thing that brings to a better future, which makes them become better people than the ones in the past.
