Whether it’s enjoying the precision step performances of the divine nine, spending time on the yard or being blown away during a battle of the bands, HBCU life is full of unforgettable social experiences. Sure, college is all about learning. But let’s face it, students want to have fun! With unique traditions and a special groove all their own, HBCUs have the college experience down pat! It’s why years and even decades after they leave, so many black college alumni still sport college sweatshirts, key chains, buttons, bumper stickers and other HBCU related apparel.
Why I Think I Should Be in the 2011 NJHS I believe I should be considered for Lake Pleasant’s National Junior Honors Society because I am a determined student, who loves to do her absolute best. In my essay I have provided several reasons why I think I should be in NJHS. My first reason for being accepted into the national juniors honor society is that I love to exceed in my schoolwork and I am ambitious. For example I have made Honor roll almost every quarter this year. This upcoming school year I plan to receive honor roll for all quarters and earn A’s in all of my classes.

Since I love sports and being athletic, I decided to try out for the cheer squad. For most of the sports you have to try out, but its a great learning experience and if you don't make it the first time they're is always a next year. For our cheer season, we have practice 3 days of the week and side line on Saturday. Aside from doing regular cheers on the sideline we also have seasonal competitions. When that time comes around, we learn how to throw skills, stunt, and the best part are dances.
I was working, taking care of my son as well as going to school. It is not as hard as these girls put it out to be they just aren't trying hard enough these days. I am very proud of my self because I decided to further my education and make something of myself. I am ready to make this big change and step in my life and make my family proud of
Autobiography My name is Ryan Moore and I attend and play football for St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, LA. The institution I attend is more than a school, but a four year military boot camp, and I mean that in the best possible way. I call it a military camp because you learn discipline, work ethic, and school pride. This school has been a great influence on the black community for over 60 years as the first and only all-black all-male catholic school in the world; you will never find another school like St. Aug. This school has taught me about reality and how the world will naturally treat me differently because if the color of my skin, but they made sure to not make that an excuse, in fact that want that to be a reason for
I'm always respectful towards my classmates because being rude just causes drama, unnecessary drama at that. There are also a numorous number of things I can do, Like at my last schools since freshman year I was always on our schools choir, cheerleading team, volleyball team, drama club, and FFA (Future farmers of america)that last one is a agricultural society and also one of my favorites out of all. I have loads of activities that I enjoy and are good at. The last reason is because I will ALWAYS try my best no matter what. at anything even math (God knows I hate math) but I will always try my hardest at any and everything that I do if
For these people, I wish the system could somehow be more strict. Everyone needs to be effected by the grading system. It can better work ethics and make you more aware of what are capable of doing. I think everyone has the potential to do anything they want. The high school grading system helps young adults realize what they need to do to better themselves.
They will see that their goal is to get good grades so their responsible to seek for help with tutoring and stay focused in school. Like, a student who doesn’t understand a topic will have to ask for help to get to a better understanding not just ignores it and forgets about it. It will just give students something to really shoot for. The benefits of it will be that students will work harder and increase their interest in learning. However, due to all the money earned from all the hard work it will help with financial aid for college.
The power of education can set anybody free. Education is a key part to life. The power of education can make somebody understand things in different ways. Instead of just having tunnel vision they can discover different conclusions without experiencing them. From the past to present the person who is the most educated was the one who had the most opportunities in the future and also was seen as the more dominant one out of say a group of people.
