M2- Self awareness is the ability to know myself, my abilities, limitation and what is my personality is like. Self awareness is a very important tool to have as it helps me to be conscious of my limits and areas for further development. It is hard to do this with a friend because we may not want the friend to know who we really are. Before we can professionally help others as counsellors, we need to be self aware. This is because of the nature of the role of counsellors.

Critical Thinking Habits Most Useful in Interpreting In “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Gilman Critical thinking is one important thing that people should consider using it in daily life. Critical thinking is a process of identification and evaluation of evidence when making a decision and it will clarify a task and finally guide to the best outcome. Some people might say “I know how to think”, “I have been thinking all of my life”, however, it is not easy to think critically. People have to learn, practice, and improve the habits of critical thinking in order to achieve it. Here there are some critical thinking habits most useful in interpreting in “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Gilman which are ask questions, define terms and concepts, and analyze assumptions and biases.
Learners themselves bring assumptions about learning based on the past, and some of these may get in the way of looking ahead to a new way of learning. Employers, providers and learners themselves all need to know more. Initial assessment is a vital part of the process of finding out. A good initial assessment process is done early on – in the first few days or weeks of contact with learners. This is different from selection – though information gained through the selection process should be useful during the assessment.
Having a well-defined theoretical approach is extremely important to a counselor. Without a well-defined theoretical approach a counselor would be left using technics and interventions based on biases rather than having a true understanding of how to foster change in a person (Corey, 2009). A theoretical framework is needed to give therapy direction and guidance. This is especially true with new counselors according to Spruill and Benshoff (2000) integrating theoretical framework early in training gives beginners the opportunity to develop their own personal theory and build skills that are essential in understanding and evaluating different counseling approaches. Additionally having knowledge of a many theoretical approaches will give counselors more options in therapy; according to Corey (2009) “There is a clear place for theoretical pluralism, especially in a society that is becoming increasingly divers (pg.
Self-managed teams are difficult to implement, and Dalman along with Lei would need to take that into consideration and be willing to invest some of their time into developing the team and then removing their self once they feel comfortable with team handling the situations. By assigning managers under their level, the self-managed teams would be better equipped to handle daily activities. This would involve training the self-managed teams to better plan and determine what type of training would help manage their daily responsibilities. Once the self-managed teams are trained and assigned the goal would be to reduce Dalman’s involvement in having to go visit the operating locations and addressing manager operation concerns, and Lei would be able to completely
From completing the Career Interests Profiler and the Career Plan Building Activity: Competencies I was able to learn the strengths and weaknesses of my competencies but did not expect the results I received from the career interest profiler. Now that I know where my strengths and weaknesses in competencies are and I also know which areas I need to work on to improve. My results show that I am fairly level loaded with my strengths being delivering results, organizing, following instructions, goal focus, and coping with pressure however they are not as strong as I would like them to be. All of these competencies are needed to pursue my career goal of becoming the Operations and Supply Chain Manager within my company. Researching was rated a little lower than the others so now I know that I need to focus on making improvements in this area.
Thinking positive effects the way the material is read. Building vocabulary and learning new words will develop the speed of your reading. Thinking critically, to make sure that the material read is clear and that it can be explained thoroughly to someone else. Building knowledge through reading and studying is the last technique that should be applied. Information that already exists in the mind combined with the new information attained, results in a new context of
Such decisions include a better and thorough understanding of the students´ particular learning styles, their affective needs, and their own personal goals to establish the right balance between teaching and learning. Another essential aspect I need to consider when planning or teaching a lesson is pacing, which again, was one of my biggest problems for this lesson. “Pacing is the extent to which a lesson maintains its momentum and communicates a sense of development. How much time to allocate to each part of the lesson is thus an important decision which teachers must make while planning or teaching a lesson.” (Jack C. Richards, 1997). Thus, I feel I should try the following changes in my teaching to achieve a proper pacing next time I teach a lesson: * Avoid repetitive activities (such as the ones mentioned in exercises 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 in Appendix 3); a variety of activities should be presented
Development is a lifelong of nurturing, shaping and improving an individual's skills, knowledge and interests to ensure my maximum effectiveness and adaptability, and to minimize the obsolescence of my skills and my chances of redundancy. So far, I have taken several assessments that have not only made me learn about myself, but also gave me a reflection on my life, and the steps I need to take in order for them to benefit me in the future. What have I learned about myself so far is probably one of the hardest and easiest questions I have to answer about myself. From taking the assessment “What is your Jungian Typology? I think really made me see the type of person I have been so far.
