Why we should have Universal Health Care Did you know that 45,000 Americans die each year because they can’t pay for medical help. Universal health care is the remedy to the problem we face. A universal health care system extends care to anyone regardless of social status or bank account. Secondly it will reduce overall medical costs. Thirdly there would be a greater demand for doctors creating more jobs.
We are governed by public and private interests. These interests are based on our very own constitution that is set up to give everyone an opportunity to succeed in our growing culture. American Exceptionalism is partially a reflection of our nation’s long history, but Americans can tend to be ethnocentric and judge other cultures by the standards of their own. In my opinion, parents should not vaccinate their children if they want to protect them from developing autism. First of all parents should not vaccinate their children, if they want to protect them from developing autism, because families all over the nation are pointing to childhood vaccinations as the cause for autism. Despite what government and medical authorities say about the safety of vaccines, parents are wise to hear what the parents of autistic children say about their children being normal until vaccinations (Attkinson, 2011). Even though this is not official scientific proof, it is definitely loud enough to make any parent think twice before vaccinating their children. Secondly, parents should oppose vaccinating their children as a way of protection from developing autism because of the significant step of banning mercury from being included in vaccines, which was taken by the US government related to this matter (Campbell, 2004).
As citizens of the United States of America, we are all guaranteed certain Constitutional rights. This ultimately gives us the freedom to choose whether or not we want to exercise those rights. One of these rights is the freedom to choose whether or not we want to participate in voting during an election. It may seem simple, but the election process is more complex that one might think and there is a lot more that goes into it aside from the events that occur on Election Day alone. Some use this privilege to their own advantage, informing themselves and doing their part in impacting these decisions that ultimately shape the future of our beloved country.
