“If (the Holocaust) is something like a religion... that in a few years time no one will believe this particular legend anymore. They will say, as I do, that atrocities were committed. Yes, hundreds of thousands of people were killed, but there were no factories of death.” - David Irving (in a recent trial, suggesting Irving was an Anti-Semite, and associate with extremists who promote Neo-Nazism) What this quote is trying to suggest is that the Holocaust (Mass extermination of the Jews) never actually happened. The reliability of this source is poor, because the purpose of this source is Irving looking to promote Nazism, by attempting to disprove the Holocaust. I can also judge the reliability as poor, because I know from other sources and my own knowledge that there were indeed extermination camps.
The CNN article of the same day is concerned more about getting the facts across then actually stoping to realize the emotional toll it has taken on the British. The author of the CNN article includes one or two quotes that mention the accident being shocking, none that talk about the mourners all across the world and the tributes which were sent to the princess' family like the BBC article had done. Another very important and comparable address to the british public about Diana's death was the Queen's Speech on September 5th. Queen Elizabeth did not mention the facts of the accident because by that time all of Britain already knew, what she did mention was the toll it has taken on her family, not her, and the public. She also mentioned some of the Princess' personality traits which neither BBC nor CNN mentioned.
Leonard Shelby cannot remember anything that has happened since the death of his wife, so according to Locke’s viewpoint he should have remained the exact same person since then. But over the course of the film it he has gone from a mild-mannered insurance investigator to a cold-blooded killer. And even though Leonard cannot remember all the killings he has done, they still seem to have affected him in some way. The fact that he is so willing to use his condition to set himself up to kill teddy say’s something about how his psyche has changed since the
Amongst all the stories swirling around in the media following the Sandy Hook tragedy it may surprise one to discover that handguns, not assault weapons, are used in most of the gun murders in the United States. Despite this many in Congress are pushing to bring back the Clinton-era ban with some extra restrictions and requirements. Although I can understand how frustration and grief following such horrific events can push people to call for action, I do not think that banning certain types of semi-automatic rifles or limiting their magazine capacity will do anything to stem the tide of death. The first hurdle that politicians seeking a new assault weapon ban will have to face is defining what exactly an assault weapon is. Most of the time
Dr. Jerome Le Jeunc, the “Father of Modern Genetics”, states that, “to accept the fact that after fertilization has taken place, a new human has come into being is no longer a matter of taste or opinion…it is plain experimental evidence”(Is abortion really murder? ,author unknown). “In the last 30 years approximately 21,5000,000 women have died violent deaths in the united States. They have had their arms ripped off, they have had their heads cut off. These women were defenseless, they could not speak out to defend themselves.
Since 1973, statistics say that “over 140 people have been exonerated and freed from death row.” 2 In a recent study, it has been shown that nationwide, at least one individual is exonerated for every ten that are executed.1 The problem is that even when innocent victims on death row are finally proven innocent of these wrongful accusations and are freed, it still does not give back the countless hours and days they sacrificed sitting there awaiting their death when they did absolutely nothing wrong. In some cases, it is even worse because sometimes the innocent people do die, and that is something that can never be given back. It is an irreversible and shameful inaccuracy. For example, Frank Lee Smith, who was wrongly accused of rape and murder, served 14 years on Florida’s death row before dying of cancer in prison. 11 months after his death, he was proven innocent through DNA testing.
Jack the Ripper: Why he got away If you have ever watched any of the recent criminal justice shows on television you should know that it is a rarity for a criminal to get away nowadays. We have everything from fingerprinting, to DNA traces, and everything in between. So, how is it that one of the most famous and vicious criminals from the past has never been caught? Researchers have declared that there is little known about just how many women Jack the Ripper actually killed; numbers range from four to seven. You would think that with all those victims the police would have had some evidence for a suspect.
Who was known for his affairs with Marilyn. The Kennedys agreed to the plan and persuaded Dr Ralph Greenson her psychiatrist and Eunice Murray her housekeeper to also help orchestrate her death. Greenson had given Marilyn tablets and told her that theses could be pumped out of her stomach easily. However Marilyn didn’t know that both of them were siding with the Kennedys. After Marilyn swallowed the tablets Murray and Greenson didn’t call the ambulance as planned instead they waited until she died.
is not guilty but he was an accomplice for the murder of both Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman but didn’t actually kill. Instead he covered up what his son, 24 year old Jason Simpson might have done. First, the evidence such as EDTA found in O.J.’s bloody socks which was not handled the way it should have been. A pair of dark, crumpled socks found at the foot of Simpson's bed; DNA tests found the genetic markers of Simpson and his ex-wife. These pair of socks was found to be with EDTA which stops blood clotting in test tube which only meant that they had to be tampered with.
The death was ruled a homicide, by medical examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia and that she had likely been killed by undetermined means. The Body Farm is a key battle in the Caylee Anthony case. Investigators of the case sent carpet and odor samples from the trunk of Casey Anthony’s car to four scientist at the Body Farm in Knoxville. The four scientists claimed that there could have been a decomposed body in Casey’s car shortly after Caylee went missing. There were DNA test from Oakridge National Laboratory in Tennessee showing evidence consistent with decomposition.
