7th and 8th graders are too young to know how to (or correctly) flirt, kiss, date, love, etc. And like how embarrassing is it to have your parents drive you everywhere for YOUR dates? I've seen many middle school relationships, and as a Junior in high school, they make me sick. Most middle school people only go in relationships to act older or cooler, not because they love the person. So, what's you opinion?
I was able to maintain a 3.8 GPA through everything but I was put on academic probation for my scholarships. The experience was traumatic one that I would never forget especially the mean people in the Juvenile Detention Center and mase. Upon returning to school she started again and we had an argument, we were suspended for 10 more days and token back to JDC for a campus disruption. Finally, I got kicked out which was the happiest day of my life; I was going to a much better place where I’d always wanted to go Lakewood High School. I wish I could’ve went to Lakewood as a freshmen and maybe I wouldn’t have been in so much trouble, which was definitely a learning experience.
Kids around the U.S. in schools are starting to write threats around the school as a joke. The sad part is when somebody brings up a school shooting and it is not seen as a big deal because we are now used to these types of outbursts happening more than they should. If we look back at 1998 when the Columbine shooting happened people were in shock because it was the worst that has ever happened before. It has happened so much from then to now that nobody is surprised when we hear about one. People are now expecting these to happen and that is the problem.
Abstract Sex education in schools does not work unless peer pressure and bullying is stopped. Young people in United States spent an average of six to eight hours with some form of media coverage. Media has saturated the world in which children lived, is a world in which sexual behavior is frequent and increasingly explicit. Peer pressure in both school and media increase the chances of risky behavior in children in both world the drugs and alcohol use and sexual experimentation. Can sex education survive the pressure of media involvement and peer pressure?
It makes the student with high standers and strong educational level struggle and eventually fall apart. It’s just not only becomes a mental problem but also ends up to become physical too. It can cause fight in schools, conflicts and even racist problem. Then it involves NYPD or even gets in group fights such as Ganges. Another one of the major problems caused from not setting dress code for student in high school is computation with in students that ones were each other’s success.
Outrage in Schools Due to Cellular Use Are these deathly rules we are dealing with? What happens when something occurs with a student or our own child? What are the school administrators going to do if something goes wrong and there is nothing a parent can do simply because they had no earthly idea it even happened? Kids constantly get in trouble for having cell phones even when they have to speak to a parent for a very important matter. Some schools banned pagers and cell phones starting a decade ago because of their connection to drug and gang activity, as well as due to the disruption to classes.
Some may live and some may die but a lot of the victims in my neighborhood are children who don’t have anything to do with what is going on just in the wrong place at the wrong time. My question to that is where is the right place to be for a child when gangs are shooting everywhere in parks, stores, malls, and schools, and who get caught up in the cross fire young children. We are losing our future! Second, we lose our sense of security. I know that I could let my 10 year old daughter walk to school by herself, but with shooting all the time I walk her to school.
Bullying: A Big Problem with Big Consequences Most people can remember some experience with a bully while growing up. Bullying is the act of one person causing harm both physically and psychologically on another person repetitively, and there are four types: physical, verbal, social, and cyber bullying. Prevention and intervention program should be instituted in all school districts. It is such a big problem in schools everywhere that it can no longer be minimized and trivialized by adults, taken lightly, brushed off, or denied. Thousands of children go to school every day filled with fear and trepidation; other feign illness to avoid being taunted or attacked on the way to school or in the school yard, hallways, and bathrooms; still others manage to make themselves sick at school so as to avoid harassment in the locker room.
These types of bullying can also include spreading rumors, yelling obscenities or other derogatory terms based on an individual's race, gender, sexual orientation and religion. Nearly nine out of ten youth reported being verbally harassed at school in the past year due to their sexual orientation. It is estimated that 160,000 children miss school every day due to fear of attack or intimidation by other students. One of every ten students who drop out of school do so because of repeated bullying. Bullying is associated with serious health concerns.
82, I learned how to speak English very fast. When I was in elementary school I was always the fat kid the other kids used to tease because of my weight. I played it off like I didn’t care but deep down it hurt my feelings. I was always the troublemaker my mother had to come to my school every year because I always misbehaved in school. The biggest thing that happened in elementary school was one day after school I was in the 5th grade my mom gave me the news that my uncle had died.
