Jimmy Richardelle Ms. Williams English Comp I Sec. 321 14 December, 2010 Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner I often wondered if I could speak to someone who would inspire me to be better in life, in my talents, who would it be? Would we follow the direction given, or ignore advice? As we grow and mature, meaningful, spiritual things take precedence over the grind of everyday life. Connection to family and close friends becomes more important. Three people I would love to speak to and share a meal with who have inspired me throughout my life are Jesus Christ, Eric Clapton, and Ronald Reagan. Clapton. I have always admired you talent, and have struggled with some of the same things you have. Actually you helped me to overcome alcohol and cocaine addiction. My life, like yours was of disarray. I went from relationship to relationship without meaning, and although I immersed myself in music, as you did, the low points in my life were ever present. I wish we had time to jam, but wanted to let you know that the best vacation I ever took was in Antigua, as Cross Roads Recovery Center. Thank you for allowing me to complete seventeen years of sobriety. Mr. President, you took on the Communist World and defeated it without a shot. Your service to this country is greatly appreciated by many. You served in war, and took on the enormous job of becoming the greatest president in modern time. I wish you could be here to help us out of the recession we are in today as you did before and give us your insight so we can become a great nation once again. Gentlemen thanks for coming to dinner, and each of you has influenced me in a positive way and the things I have learned from you I practice in everyday life.
