I. Personal experience story: I am currently working as a Hall Security Agent (HSA) which is an official name of an on-campus job. My job is fairly simple. I sit in a booth near the entrance of a student dormitory, check student IDs and let them in after I verify that they live in the building. It is a nice on-campus job providing decent wage without the need of doing too many things. It provides pleasant environment for working. HSAs do not feel bored because they still can talk to friends who walk in and out of the building providing HSAs must check student IDs. However, it also comes with some problems. Friends say that HSAs are so harsh and annoying because, although are friends to each other, HSAs still have to check their IDs each and every time they got in and out the building. It also hard for HSAs since HSAs do not want to make their friends upset. Some HSAs just let them pass. My supervisor told us that some of us, although he did not indicate specifically, let students who are their friends into the building without checking their IDs. Some of students who were let in without being checked the IDs did not live in the building. They partied and caused so much noise that neighbor students had to call the public safety to keep them quiet. Furthermore, it happened quite a few times. Because of that, our HSAs were warned by the public safety. Students who were not let in by serious working HSAs complain that the other HSAs were very nice to them. They let the students in without checking the IDs and the students look at us
