Most teachers express how they feel about cell phones being a distraction to others, however very few students have complaints about the use of cell phones in class. I know for some students it doesn't take that long to get to class unless talking with your friends which is the biggest thing. But don't you think if we were given the privilege to text during lunch and passing periods that it would slow down the amount of students dilly dallying in the halls. Think about it! Who are we stopping to talk to in the halls? Our friends.
Another ethical issue occurred when the principal allowed the counselor to transport a student home to pick up homework assignments. Typically students are not allotted this privilege and must accept the consequences of not bringing work to school. I considered the possibilities of her explanation to other students who found themselves in the same situation. The principal and I discussed the issue and she explained some special circumstances with this particular child. The situation still made me question the fairness and equitable treatment of all
I tried to keep focus but my solitude was starting to become unbearable. Yes there were many students around but they all seemed to have their own network since they knew their classmates from their previous schools while all of my friends were in regular ed classes. I started to rebel and slacked off so much that teachers began to wonder why i was in a advanced class since they thought i couldn't hack their work load when in reality all i wanted to do was be placed in regular ed just to be with my friends. Odd and dumb reason, i know but I didn't know that at the time. Eventually I was moved from classes due to my insubordination and i was content at the time.
This is why I believe that it’s not the schools fault. Additionally, the article conveys “‘if a school employee witnesses a behavior that is problematic and makes a conscious decision not to address it, it becomes schools problem’.” (Diblasio).This may be true; however it is only resolved for that incident but later on, the bully can decide to be more careful and bully the student more outside of school because an adult intervened. Now I am not saying not to intervene, just that it wouldn’t make the bullying stop completely. Studies have shown that most of the times, the bully is the one that needs more help because maybe he is bullying because he was or is being bullied too. It is also hard to detect but in most cases, this is true.

This quote shows that the bullies are more concentrated on bullying their victims rather than their school work. This quote also shows that bullies are not very concentrated in school and will probably fail in school and not get a good career. Another example that shows that students are beginning not to care about school is, “Many of the victims are disengaged in school” (Wolpert 1). This evidence is important because the victims are scared of bullies and are really not concentrating in school like before they began to be bullied. Multiple victims who are hurt from being bullied are starting to fail in school.
Many teachers do not like “catching plagiarists and bringing them to academic justice.” As she states, it is not hard to just cite the author that originally had the information you are using (Bojar). Plagiarism is becoming a big problem in the school system. Many students do not understand what needs to be cited and what does not. The school system should teach students the proper way to cite, and they should teach them that copy and pasting is not writing a paper. My First placement as a mental health student nurse was at a unit where the patients/service users are not ill enough to be in hospital but are not able to look after themselves in their own homes or their family find it too difficult to look after them.
