Life Style Inventory (LSI) Personal Thinking Style MGMT591 Leadership and Organizational Behavior Professor; 01/12/2011 Primary and Backup Thinking Styles My primary personal thinking style is the Humanistic-Encouraging Style, which is one of the constructive styles. Constructive Styles pertain to self-enhancing behaviors in ways of thinking, which determine a person’s level of satisfaction. These styles also pertain to the capability of effectively working with people, building healthy relationships, and being proficient at the accomplishment of tasks. The Humanistic-Encouraging scale measures our interest in people, our tendency to care about others, and our ability to encourage them to improve us. Humanistic-Encouraging people are accepting of themselves, and accept others for who they are without question or criticism.
Overlooking an event afterwards and questioning yourself not as a criticism but in a way to develop yourself further. Task c How reflective practice contributes to improving the quality of service provision. When you continually reflect on the way you perform, you are assessing the areas where you can improve. Looking at how you can do something better or differently can only benefit the standard of service provided and to us as individuals. In addressing at how we can allow ourselves to grow and offer an enhanced service that we can openly reflect on, actually allows the whole service to improve as accepting changes can be made for the better is showing that you are receptivte to evolving.
Unit 4222-373 Support person-centred thinking and planning 1.1 “Person-centred thinking is a set of values, skills and tools used in person-centred planning and in the personalisation of services used by individuals who are supported by care services” (Wikipedia). It means that if appropriate, the service user should be involved and kept at the centre of any discussions, reviews or decision making about their care or their life. 1.2 There are definitely benefits using person-centred thinking when working with individuals. Ultimately, it makes the individual feel empowered, and have control over their life which can benefit that individual hugely, by improving self-esteem, giving them confidence amongst a host of other personal gains. It also means that the values and beliefs of that individual are always kept in mind and as the priority in making any sort of decision, which again respects what the individual wants or would like in their life.
Important of Reflections Reflecting on my own practice is important because it allows me to assess what i am doing well, identify areas where you might like or may need more training or guidance in to ensure am performing to the best and meeting all standards and expectations within the care setting. It also helps me to think about what I am doing in the setting and always be aware of how I am working with others. Reflecting on my work practice can enhance and improve my confidence and self-esteem because I can look at what I am doing well, the things I have learnt and achieved and feel good about myself especially if I have been able to do something with ease which I use to find it difficult to do in the past, if I have been able to do something that I have never tried it before. This then gives me confidence to continue to work well and aim to try new things or use what new skills or knowledge I have gained in my care practices. Reflecting on my activities can help me learn from other people’s strategies.

Effective communication between adult social care workers (colleagues) is important because of the need to build trust and understanding between one another, this gives the ability to open up and ask questions on tasks or issues that are new or difficult to address with the added respect of other colleagues experience, thus enable good team building and sharing of information, also to have an attitude of sharing the work load making the job at hand and work life easier all round.
