1.Executive Summery: Soft drinks are well known delicious beverages and most popular drinks all over the world. Every year many new soft drinks are introduced due to extensive amount of demand and popularity. Therefore soft drinks market is highly competitive.In this competitive market Pepsi is world leading soft drinks manufacture which Created in 1965 through the merger of Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay. Pepsi is providing more than 200 countries as a non-alcoholic drink and generated sales $100 million in 2013 (PepsiCo, 2014:1). This report conducts an analysis and evaluation of the Management Strategy of PepsiCo. Methods of analysis include the internal and external analysis of the company. According to Consumer Reports, in the 1970s, the rivalry continued to heat up the market. Therefore,this study is designed to focus to the PepsiCo main competitor Coca-Cola (Rival4ever, 2011). Despite having a strong second opinion against Coca-Cola, Pepsi still has become the largest consumable product in the world. Therefore, this report is designed to analysis the strategics used by Pepsi to compete with its competitors and the effectiveness of it. Firstly, researcher will discuss the effectiveness of the Pepsi’s Vision and Mission statement and followed by internal and external environmental factors and recommendation. 2.PepsiCo background: Pepsi was created in 1965 through the merger of Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay (PepsiCo, 2014:2). Back in 1880’s, the recipe for Pepsi was developed by Caleb Bradham in New Bern, North Carolina who had renamed it “Pepsi-Cola” in 1898 (PepsiCo, 2014:2). As the cola industry develop in popularity, Caleb created Pepsi-Cola Company in 1902 and registered a patent for his recipe in 1903 (PepsiCo, 2014:2).
